The Top 7 Tag with One Frazzled Mum

Happy New Year!

It’s a fresh new year, a time for resolutions, changes and proclamations of how this year will be YOUR year, the best one ever. But I have to admit, 2018 for me anyway was a pretty great year. 2019 is going to have to pull out all the stops to beat last year!

I had my best year with the blog, and I had some absolutely amazing experiences too. 2018 was the year of food (I ate out a lot with my sister – actually I just ate a lot), the year of firsts (my first West End Show and then the second the day after), the year of amazing family holidays and my first holiday abroad without Olivia. It had its ups and downs, but mostly ups and I wanted to share some of them with you before we get too far into 2019 and I forget just how good it was!

The Top 7 Tag with One Frazzled Mum.

With that in mind, I thought I would start a blogger tag to share some of our best things on and off the blog from 2018 and some things I was looking forward to in 2019. Anyone is welcome to take part; I would love to read any posts if you do. You can tag me on Twitter @frazzledmumblog or Facebook and Instagram @onefrazzledmum. If you would like to join in the Top 7 Tag, this is all you need to do;

  • Your Favourite 7 Posts from 2018. They can be any posts at all that you are proud of.
  • 7 Things You Loved The Most About 2018. Whether you visited somewhere, or just had one of those moments you will never forget, if you loved it, list it!
  • 7 Things You Are Looking Forward to in 2019. Whether those plans are set in stone or you something you would like to do this year, share with us.
  • Tag 7 Bloggers to Take Part. Share the love and tag 7 others who would like to take part.
  • Say Thanks. Link back to the person who tagged you and/or myself, so people know where to find the tag to join in too.

So without further ado, here are my Top 7’s for The Top 7 Tag.

Top 7 Posts of 2018.
7 Things I loved in 2018.

Visiting London in Jan/Feb. I bought my sister tickets to see Wicked for her 30th birthday in 2017, and we finally made it at the end of January. We made it into our seats with seconds to spare and then by a huge stroke of luck; we scored brilliant seats the very next day to see Aladdin at heavily reduced prices. Both shows were absolutely amazing!

Our Family Holiday to Devon. Well, aside from the quite frankly long and hysterical journey down south (7 hours each way!) Devon was absolutely worth it. The weather was amazing. Haven was amazing, and we all had the best time. We have caravan/holiday park holidays most years, but this is going to be that holiday that we remember and talk about for years to come!

My Grown-Up Holiday to Fuerteventura. Thanks to some amazing opportunities on the blog, I was able to take a child-free holiday with my mum and youngest sister to Arena Beach Hotel in Fuerteventura in September. After a crazy busy year, I definitely needed the break, and despite getting a cold whilst I was there, it was the holiday we needed. Quiet, relaxing and just perfect!

Trafford City. We visit the Trafford Centre quite frequently, and in 2018 we were lucky enough to be invited to the Trafford Centre and Trafford City for some significant events and brilliant days out. From Olivia’s first TGI Fridays experience to taking my sister donutting at Chill Factore, we have made some great memories visiting Trafford City this year.

Westlife. I can’t discuss 2018 without mentioning Westlife announcing getting back together during my holiday to Fuerteventura. Westlife was our one thing as a family. All four of us would religiously go and see them every tour at the Echo Arena, Liverpool (and before that Manchester). I can still remember that ‘what now’ feeling when they left the stage on their very last show in Liverpool on their last tour before splitting up. What would we do now? Who would we go and watch together? Whilst we have still been to shows together, nothing ever had the same effect as a Westlife concert and guess what? We absolutely have tickets to see them this year!

Blog On. I went to my second ever blogging conference, and despite a shaky experience due to my anxiety the first time, this one was so much fun. I felt much more relaxed and met some amazing people. Plus Hotel Football is amazing! I stayed over the night before, and it is definitely up there as one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.

Online Friends. After talking online and via WhatsApp for so long, 2018 was the year I finally met Maria from Suburban Mum in real life! I actually met her twice as we shared a room at Blog On too. Hopefully, I will be getting to meet up with her again this year too. I also met Franca from A Moment with Franca for the second time. We first met in 2017 at Blog On, and I would love to meet up with her and her girls again.

7 Things I Am Looking Forward to in 2019
  • Seeing Westlife
  • Seeing Micheal Bublé
  • Going to Hogwarts! Well, the Warner Brothers Studio as I got a ticket for Christmas.
  • Seeing The BodyGuard with Alexandra Burke in Liverpool in March.
  • Getting back to the gym – we renewed our pass last year but barely used it. This is the year we do.
  • Hopefully going back to Blog On again in September.
  • Having as much fun as we did in 2018.
So there we go, these are my top 7’s. I would love you to take part if you fancy it, but I am tagging the following people to join in with me;
  1. Maria from Suburban Mum.
  2. Lauren from Scrapbook Blog
  3. Sophie from Life As Mrs D
  4. Steph from Renovation Bay-Bee
  5. Deb from My Boys Club
  6. Cassie from Gorgeous George’s Mama
  7. Ali from Ali’s Upside Down World

  1. You definitely had a fantastic 2018! Lots of lovely memories. Two super fun trips. I would love to stay in that place in Devon next time. Love the West End shows. They are the best! It was lovely to meet you in person twice. You are one of my closest blogging friends so I would definitely want to meet again this year. Let’s start planning! 🙂 xx #kcacols
