As I’m getting older I seem to be making the shift from uncomfortable heels and shoes to a more comfortable shoe/trainer. Although saying that there’s no need to compromise on style really is there. Not that I am up there in the style stakes but a girls got to have nice shoes doesn’t she! My current focus is on trainers and there are definitely plenty of cute ones around. However, I’ve always wanted a pair of Sketchers. A bit like these Go Walk 3 ones. Did you know you can get Sketchers at Brantano?
Browsing the Women’s Shoes section I found some lovely Sketchers at Brantano. I spent a while narrowing down my choice to the pair pictured above. Talk about spoilt for choice.
Sketchers At Brantano: The Review
From the moment they arrived, I couldn’t wait to try them on. They just felt so light and looked really comfortable. My previous trainers aren’t good for me, I need something more cushioned and with a bit more support. The sole on these feature the GO Pillars shock absorbing sole.
These needed testing out properly. At £66, if the technology works making them worthy of its Best Sneaker 2015 award, they would be worth their weight in gold. To be fair I have a lot of weight to support and sometimes it really can take its toll on my poor feet. They deserve a good treat but would these trainers be just that?
The first trial was kind of being thrown in the deep end. I wanted to get back to working out. It’s been a while thanks to some recent health issues. So I decided to try a Body Coach Low Impact Beginners HIIT. You know how I love my HIIT workouts. Could they help me out during my energetic 20 mins workout?
Putting my new Sketchers through their paces today. I have just done my first @thebodycoach workout in months. A low impact beginners workout on you tube as I am still in a lot of pain with my joints and back. I managed 12 mins. Tomorrow I will try for an extra set. I need to lose some weight to help improve my health right now.
It was like working out on a cushion. I swear! Why have I just found these? There was minimal impact on my ankles. Also, I don’t feel like they’re going to split on me when bending down either. Some trainers in the past have felt like this and were rather stiff around the top of my feet. The material is loose and flexible to fit around your foot like a glove.
I have been out running
jogging/walking and generally wearing them around the house. It’s like wearing slippers, I’m in love! They even managed to cope with a full shift in work too! I’m seriously debating getting some athleisure wear for my upcoming trip to London just so I can wear them then. I can’t think of a more perfect task for these shoes than a touristy day out in our nation’s capital city, can you?
I’ve always been a big advocate of making sure you have the right footwear (and sports bra but that’s a whole different post) and finding theses Sketchers at Brantano provided me with just that. What trainers do you wear to workout in or have you found a pair of shoes you can literally wear all day?
