Quntis Light-Up Present Boxes Review – The Perfect Under Tree Decorations

Every year when I put up the Christmas tree, I end up annoyed by the empty space under the branches. Because it’s a fake tree, the lower branches sit a bit too high, and there’s always a visible gap where the plugs and wires hide. The rest of the tree looks lovely, and then that one area spoils the effect. I’ve tried different ways to cover it, but nothing has really looked right for my pastel and flocked decorations.

I used a set of rose-gold light-up gift boxes for a couple of years. They did the job, but they were too bright and clashed with the softer colours I prefer. And after one of the bows broke, I knew I needed something new that actually worked with the theme instead of fighting against it. So when I was sent the Quntis Light-Up Present Boxes in white, I hoped they would finally give that space the calm, finished look I wanted.

Quntis Light-Up Present Boxes

This set includes three different-sized boxes with a metal frame inside, so they hold their shape. They’re covered in a textured ribbon-style fabric with removable bows on top, which makes packing them away much easier. Each box is fitted with super-bright SMT LEDs — 140 in total — which gives them a clear, bright glow.

Here are the key details from the listing:

  • 3 sizes:
  • Large – 19 × 19 × 18 cm
  • Medium – 15.5 × 15.5 × 15 cm
  • Small – 13 × 13 × 12.5 cm
  • 3 m mains power cord
  • 50 cm cable between each box
  • 140 cool-white LEDs
  • 8 lighting modes — from steady to different twinkling effects
  • Timer function: 6 hours on / 18 hours off
  • Low-voltage transformer stays cool during use
  • IP44 water-resistant for indoor and sheltered outdoor areas
  • Nestable for compact storage

Everything you need is included — no batteries, no tools, and no fiddly setup.

How They Look Under the Tree

These are slightly smaller than the boxes I used before, but that ended up being much better for the space I needed to fill. They sit neatly at the front of the tree and cover the gap completely, without taking attention away from the decorations above. The white fabric looks clean and subtle, and when the lights are on, they add a soft glow that blends nicely with the rest of the tree.

They suit the pastel colours really well, and the textured finish helps them look more like part of the display instead of just something placed there to hide a problem. It’s the first year I’ve looked at the tree and not been distracted by that area.

Easy to Use and Store

Because they’re mains powered, the lights stay bright and consistent — no batteries fading halfway through December. I’ve plugged them into the same smart plug as my other Christmas lights so they switch on and off together, which keeps everything simple.

The Velcro bows are a real improvement over previous sets I’ve owned. They stay in place while on display, and come off easily when it’s time to pack everything away. They store flat, so they don’t get squashed or bent during the year.

The boxes feel solid enough for décor but aren’t meant to be handled a lot. As long as they’re left in place to look pretty, they hold up well.

Final Thoughts

The Quntis Light-Up Present Boxes have made a noticeable difference to how the bottom of the tree looks this year. They fill the empty space cleanly, cover the wires, and match the theme without being distracting. The lighting options, timer feature, and easier storage make them a practical upgrade from my old set.

I’m really pleased with how they look and how simple they are to use. They finish the tree in a way that feels calm and tidy, and I’ll definitely be bringing them out again next year. If you want to get more lights for Christmas, I highly recommend these, as well as the other lights I have previously reviewed.
