Olivia absolutely loves Lego. At her dad’s house, she is working on completing her Lego Friends collection, with the Lego Friends Heartlake Brand Hotel on her Christmas wishlist this year. She has been collecting it for years now and purely due to the sheer amount of toys she collected when she was younger we made the decision to keep all her Lego in one place. That is until now. For this past month, we have been in possession of the fabulous Mayka Toy Block Tape which is absolutely perfect for Olivia to build her creations on.
Mayka Toy Block Tape Review
Mayka Toy Block Tape is the ORIGINAL tape that can turn literally any surface into a base for building your creations on. You can cut it, bend it, stick it on any surface. In any way or any shape. So wherever you want to build your creations, it is now possible with the Mayka Toy Block Tape.
Available in a variety of colours and sizes too depending on your requirements.
Suitable for ages 3+
Olivia decided to put the Mayka tape to the test when putting together the contents of Wilko’s Blox Advent Calendar. Having let her loose with some money she had been given and telling her to get whatever she wanted (bad mistake) she chose the advent calendar. I reluctantly agreed to let her put it all together as she already has her advent calendars and I knew it would keep it busy, and quiet for a while!
The tape was definitely thicker and more flexible than we thought it would be. Our plan was to use it to stick the Christmas figures to the scene on the box. With Santa, Mrs Claus and even Rudolph, there were plenty of characters to keep in place as well as the other figures and objects.
She even tried tipping it upside down and was impressed it held it onto the figures. The only issue we had was removing the backing paper to stick the tape to our chosen place. But once stuck it didn’t move unless you peeled it away. Which she did more than once as tried to place them until she got it just right.
After being a bit dubious at first, Olivia ended up being really impressed with the tape and has now taken it to her nans to use with her Lego Friends sets for the future. After watching one of her favourite YouTubers use it to make a frame, this is next on her list to use the tape for!
