Endgame by James Frey

Endgame by James Frey

Endgame is real. Endgame is now. Endgame has begun.
Twelve ancient cultures were chosen millennia ago to represent humanity in Endgame, a global game that will decide the fate of humankind. Endgame has always been a possibility, but never a reality…until now. Twelve meteorites have just struck Earth, each meteorite containing a message for a Player who has been trained for this moment. At stake for the Players: saving their bloodline, as well as the fate of the world. And only one can win.
Endgame is real. Endgame is now. Endgame has begun.
The book is centred around 12 people from all parts of the world destined to play ‘Endgame’ Trained their whole lives for this. It’s fate, predetermined that they, for the future of all mankind and for their own families bloodlines fight each other to the death.

Verdict: An absolutely fascinating book and not one I would normally read myself I was glad I got the chance to read it as I totally enjoyed it. I really liked the way the book was written. Use of punctuation to enforce what what happening. As they book followed people from across the globe you delved into the world of other cultures learning about Endgame and what it meant for those taking part. I was hooked all the way through and admit to getting frustrated at having to put it down at times to go to work!
Have a little look at the trailer and see if you fancy a front row seat to Endgame.
