A New Interactive Experience at Madame Tussauds Blackpool
It has been a while since I had visited Blackpool. We love taking a trip up North, well more North than we are anyway to the sunny (sometimes) seaside resort of Blackpool. It is definitely one of our favourite places to spend the day I have to admit.
It has been a few years now since our first trip to Madame Tussauds Blackpool and we were so excited to be invited back to check out their new wax figures and interactive displays. I love that there is always something new to discover at Madame Tussauds Blackpool and this visit was going to be no different. (ps does anyone else now say ‘wax figures’ in the style of Michelle Williams in The Greatest Showman? No, just me?)
Discovering the new Interactive Experience at Madame Tussauds Blackpool.

2018 saw Madame Tussauds Blackpool welcome a brand new, exciting MARVEL SUPER HEROES area featuring all your Marvel favourites; The Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man, Groot, Rocket, Ironman and the newest arrival, the powerful Captain Marvel. There are 4 exciting and interactive zones for you to explore and get involved in all the action on.

The latest addition to the attraction is a Doctor Who area. Taking inspiration from the TV series, you can venture into the forest and find the doctor herself and the actual TARDIS prop used on for series 11. The new area also includes friends and frenemies costumes from the recent series of the show.
As well as the new additions you can still pose up a storm with your old favourites, including pop stars, sports stars and of course, grab a quick pint in the Rovers too! I don’t even watch Coronation Street but this is still one of my favourite things to see!
Our Thoughts on the Fun, New Interactive Experience at Madame Tussauds Blackpool.
It has definitely been a little while since we had visited and it may as well have been a whole new attraction for us. There is so much more to do now and get involved in. They have really upped the ante with all the interactive areas and figures. Your family favourites are still on the ground floor where you enter and who can resist a cheeky picture with Paddy and Keith!

The girls aren’t Doctor Who fans but the whole display was fabulous. My sister and I even tried to disappear into the TARDIS to get try and lose the girls. It didn’t work but the escalators soon transported us up and away to see some more wax figures of our favourite celebs!

After a quick run across the famous, ‘I’m A Celeb’ bridge and chat with ‘Ant and Dec’ we made our way around to some of the newer sections.
As well as the new additions you can still pose up a storm with your old favourites, including pop stars, sports stars and of course, grab a quick pint in a replica of the Rovers Return too! I don’t even watch Coronation Street but this is still one of my favourite things to see!

With the sporting heroes section revamped and more stars joining the collection, the girls had so much fun getting involved and posing with the figures. There was a quick boxing match with Nicola Adams, the infamous ‘M’ pose with Mo and a few darts with my favourite Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor amongst others. We even got a pic with the world cup too!

One thing they did love was the laser game. K couldn’t wait to get in and try it herself. She even went twice! There was so much to do and they wanted to do it all. We weren’t even halfway around yet!

Then came the MARVEL SUPER HEROES AREA section! Oh wow! From collections of comic books to recreating movie scenes, this was, for me, one of the best sections. Perfect for any Marvel fan. We now need to watch Avengers: Endgame despite not having seen any other films thanks to the amazing Thor figure.

From flying with Iron Man to lifting the taxi and posing with The Hulk, we did it all. This area is so much fun!

This was really one of our favourite parts along with the musical hero’s areas where the girls partook in a bit of silent dancing and karaoke!

And of course, festival fields is where it is at for all the girls. They jumped on stage to give us a song or three – they actually waited out the queue to go back to sing again whilst I and my sister got some selfies with Justin Timberlake! Oh yes, joining Ed Sheeran, Olly Murs and Ariana Grande at festival fields was Mr JT himself. This is definitely a festival I would go to!

We had so much fun and definitely all agreed that Madame Tussauds Blackpool is better than ever. I know I have always told you I loved it, and I truly do, but if you have been on the fence about visiting, this year is the year to go. Especially for Doctor Who and Marvel fans! There is so much more to do now alongside posing with your favourite stars, there is something to keep the whole family entertained.

This looks like such a great attraction. Not been to Blackpool for ages! #PoCoLo
Looks fantastic. I’ve only ever been to the London, but I’ll definitely be going to Blackpool now. There’s so much to see and do. Your review and photographs look so exciting.
Unfortunately the frequent “Selfies” slow down the progression / procession of customers through the Madame Tussaud venues. Which can lead to tailbacks, blockages, slow progression through the exibitions. So can be a tiring day :- Best to be prepared. As drinks to quench thirst, and toilet visits likely to be required.
Wow – certainly improved since the last time I was there – Blackpool for BANK holiday weekend !
