A Bad Brownie Review with One Frazzled Mum

I am just going to put this out there. I love cake. This is no secret. I make no apologies for my sweet tooth. So you can imagine my delight when Bad Brownie got in touch to ask me for a review; there was little chance I was saying no, let’s be honest.

For this Bad Brownie review, I received a selection of their Favourites Brownie Bites Box, which contained 16 mini bites of four different flavours.

Who Are Bad Brownie?

Bad Brownie is based in London, and their brownies are available to purchase online or at markets in London. You may have seen them appear on Dragon’s Den in January 2016, where they secured investment.

Since then, Bad Brownie has gone from strength to strength and their passion for chocolate and bringing exciting taste experiences to the market has allowed them to offer a range of mouthwatering brownies to the whole of the UK.

The Favourites Brownie Bites Box – Bad Brownie Review

As I mentioned, I received the 16 bite box to experience more of the different flavours, or that was my excuse anyway. In reality, I couldn’t decide what flavours would be the best, and I wanted to try them all in this Bad Brownie Review.

The 16 bite box (£19) contains 4 of the following;

  • Malteasers
  • Biscoff
  • Oreo
  • Jaffa Cake

Mouthwatering, right! But will they taste live up to the enticing images on the website?

I have to mention that these bite-sized chunks are small. When you order, you are advised of this, and there is a good reason.

When I opened the box, the brownies looked phenomenal. It was all I could do not to eat them there, and then I’m not going to lie. My sweet tooth rages first thing in the morning, and they arrived pretty early, it was touch and go as to if they would survive the day.

But they did. After all, I had to get some images to capture how amazing they looked. I hope I have done them justice.

Now onto the important part.

Do Bad Brownie brownies taste as good as they look?

Absolutely. The brownies are small for a good reason. They are rich and full of flavour. Personally, I am not overly fond of richer flavours, Olivia on the other hand, loves rich brownies. So for me, the small bite-sized pieces meant they were enough and not too overpowering.

Sampling Bad Brownie’s Brownie Bites

I shared them with my best friend over the bank holiday weekend along with my sister (and reluctant photography assistant). All three of us agreed that although they were rich, they were delicious. My personal favourite was the Malteaser one. They weren’t dry like some brownies can be and had a lovely texture when you bit into them.

My sister tried the Biscoff one and was really impressed with the blend of flavours and texture of the brownies, along with the generous toppings. My best friend was blown away with the Oreo brownie, and the Jaffa cake brownie had lovely consistency, and the orange flavour was a nice compliment to the brownie.

Overall, while a little bit on the rich side for me – of course, this is a personal preference as my friend and Olivia enjoyed the richer flavour, the flavour combinations were so good, and the amount of topping really set the brownie off.

However, there is a range of different flavours, including vegan brownies, nut-free brownies, and gluten-free, along with bite-sized treats and brownie bars. I have to give a special mention to the bacon brownie bar; if you try it, let me know! If you are planning to order a box for yourself, or others if you really must share the love, I highly recommend the favourite selection.

Bad Brownies make the ideal gift to yourself to send to a loved one or even for a special get together. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

They look so delicious, particularly the Malteasersones! Quite expensive though!
