*Review* Peanut Hottie

| Peanut Hottie |
This month I have been lucky enough to receive some Peanut Hottie to review. I was so excited to try it as I love peanuts. Salted peanuts, chocolates with nuts in, peanut M&M’s anything peanut flavoured I am there including peanut butter flavoured sweets thinks Reece’s but not peanut butter itself, I don’t know what it is.
I must admit I was quite intrigued and couldn’t wait to try out Peanut Hottie. If you’re wondering what it is, think hot chocolate but peanuts, and that is exactly what you get. A versatile powder to use as you wish, as a hot drink, or to add to food as an ingredient: the choice is entirely yours!
Trying Peanut Hottie As A Drink
As a huge fan of flavoured coffee, I thought I would give it a whirl instead of my usual sachet of flavoured chocolate. I added 2 spoonfuls with my coffee and some frothy milk and viola. To drink as a standalone drink, simply add 3 – 4 spoonfuls of Peanut Hottie and add hot water.
I can confirm complete it is complete utter deliciousness in a mug; I am a convert. Peanut flavoured coffee is my new favourite thing, ever! Forget Starbucks, it’s homemade all the way now for me, With just 83 calories per 20-gram serving, it is much better than adding syrups or flavoured chocolate powder to my coffee. I found that as I only added half recommended amount to my drink, the taste was subtle and fitted nicely in with the coffee. It wasn’t too overpowering at all.

Using Peanut Hottie in Recipes
This got me thinking of what else could I add it too? There are just so many options when it comes to adding it to your food. but being somewhat of a useless cook, I decided to play it safe with some muffins from scratch! Very adventurous I know but trust me I can ruin and do ruin cake packet mixes!
Again I added 3 spoonfuls to the recipe and a little extra milk and popped them in the oven with my fingers crossed! They were delicious. I was tempted to make some peanut flavoured icing, but as Olivia doesn’t like icing, we decided to leave them plain.

| Peanut Hottie Cupcake/Muffin |
They turned out more like cupcakes than muffins but they tasted so much better than they look trust me!
Finally, I thought I had better try it out as the hot drink it is intended to be. Following instructions, I prepared myself a hot peanut drink, and it really was delicious!

My Thoughts on Peanut Hottie
I am converted! I love this and think I need to head off to stock up before I run out. It is a welcome change from hot chocolate, in my opinion. You can buy Peanut Hottie at selected Sainsbury’s and Waitrose, but you find more information on their website, or you can find them on Twitter or Facebook.
I might have to think up some new ways to use this. So far I am thinking maybe in a milkshake, curries (not that I eat curry), biscuits (will probably try this), peanut flavoured scones maybe? And potentially in pancakes or desserts.
I would love to get an Easter egg mould or any mould, melt some chocolate add some Peanut Hottie and see what happens! The genius is in how you choose to use it. What would you add this too or would you try it as a drink?

Comments
I tried Peanut Hottie–very disappointed! Not at all what I was expecting. It just tasted like a cup of peanut butter colored water. I could not taste peanuts at all. I called the company and sent them an email, no one ever got back to me. That tells me a lot.
Really worth trying 🙂 x
