*Review and Giveaway* Shoutykid

We have been very lucky lately to have had some really great books sent to us to read for Olivia’s age group. It is so good to be able to introduce her to new and different stories especially as she is now a free reader in school!

The latest book she has been reading is ShoutyKid by Simon Mayle. It is the story of Shoutykid Harry Riddles and how he writes shouty letters to famous people and how he makes a zombie movie!

This is such a fun book and Olivia and I both enjoyed it. It is really funny in places and so easy to read. The kind of book you can pick right up from after a break handy for kids with short attention spans.

I loved the style that the book was written in, text, email and letter format. It makes it so easy to read. My favourite part is is the letter he writes for his dad when he gets into trouble.

Here is what Olivia thought,

“I thought this was a funny book and liked all funny letters Harry wrote to people. My favourite part was when he fell on his face doing the school play with Jessica. But I don’t like zombies really but he made a good film”

You can find out for yourself by watching this short clip about Harry Riddles Shoutykid.

If you like what you see you can pick up a copy from Amazon and maybe help the shoutykid on your life make their own zombie movie too. Or………

To my Grandmother, who I never met, as she died before I was born. As I would like to ask her about the family history etc. Previous generations were so different, it would be nice to know and share their stories. Then pass these down for future generations.

I would write to my parents, – to tell them that they have two wonderful grandchildren who would be a credit to them. They would have loved to have been a part of their lives, – passing their values onto the next generation.
