A Saturday Night at The Pullman Hotel Liverpool
I love staying over in hotels. Over the past few years, my youngest sister and I have had a few overnight trips to stay at hotels, and we are hoping to get a couple more booked for this year. We started the year off last year in London, and this year, it was time to take a shorter trip, just across the Mersey to the Pullman Hotel Liverpool based on the King’s Dock right next door to the M&S Bank Arena (or Echo Arena as we all know it as!).
Attached to the convention centre, the 4-star hotel, which was officially opened in 2016. The hotel boasts an excellent location for the arena itself and The Albert Dock, Liverpool One and Liverpool city centre transport links. There are also 5G Wi-Fi and Sky sports and movie channels available in your room too. The Pullman Hotel Liverpool is also home to Marco Pierre White’s Wheeler’s of St James Oyster Bar and Grill.
It is the hotel I always wish I was booked into after attending concerts at the arena instead of waiting in traffic queues along the Strand to get home. If you are visiting Liverpool and want to be close enough to the action, yet not quite in the centre of it all, Pullman Hotel Liverpool has to be top of your list for location.
Checking Into Pullman Hotel Liverpool on Valentines Weekend.
We arrived on a cold February evening on one of the busiest nights in the weekend. I had been at work all day as we live fairly local (it is no exaggeration to say we could pretty much see the area we live in from our room) and couldn’t wait to check-in. We arrived around 6 pm, checked in at reception with no problems, and headed up to our room on the sixth floor.
The first thing that struck me upon reaching our floor was just how big the hotel is. It doesn’t look like it from the main entrance, but the hallway’s length really made me realise exactly how many people could also be here too.

Our room was facing the River and was above the convention centre entrance, giving us a gorgeous view of the skyline for the Wirral and across to the Albert Dock. It is a sight we know very well, yet have never seen from this point of view before.

We were in a superior king-size room, and it was absolutely gorgeous.
A sumptuous bed with two plump pillows each and a cushioned sitting area in front of the window to relax, enjoy a nightcap or take in the views with a morning cuppa. I honestly never expected it to be as luxurious as it was! We even had a lovely greeting card from the manager for the personal touch too. I already wanted to jump into the bed and stay there. Would they swap our meal for room service, I wonder!?!?!

Oh my days, the bathroom. I love a walk-in shower, so I definitely wasn’t disappointed on this front. With options to use the shower via showerhead or the ceiling, we, of course, opted for the ceiling. It was like standing underneath a waterfall. Amazing. Bathroom goals right there.

It was definitely a room we could get used too that’s for sure. In the room we had;
- Wall-mounted flat screen tv with a personalised message!
- Hairdryer
- Bathrobe and slippers
- Iron and ironing board
- LED-lit full-length mirror in the spacious wardrobe
- Kettle with tea/coffee and cups
- Complimentary toiletries
- Complimentary water in the minibar
- Plenty of storage space

Spending the Night at the Pullman Hotel Liverpool
After getting ready in the room before our meal and making full use of the gorgeous bathroom, we came back at around half 10. For the first time, we met other people staying at the hotel in the lift. We also met the same couple again, going to breakfast and then coming back from breakfast, too, as they were leaving to check out randomly.

Other than that, despite the size of the hotel, we didn’t see many other people. We were pleased to notice we didn’t hear any noise from anyone else around the hotel either. The room and bed were comfortable, and the next morning we enjoyed a morning cuppa taking in the views once more before heading down to breakfast.
Breakfast at the Pullman Hotel Liverpool.

Breakfast was included in our stay, and we had a wide range of different options to choose from. There was Cereal, Full English Breakfast and Continental along with fresh juices. Tea and coffee were served to your table. Despite it being busy, we weren’t rushed, and everyone was able to enjoy their breakfast at their own pace before heading out to start their day.
We had a lovely stay at the Pullman Hotel Liverpool, so much so we wanted to extend our stay for another night or two, but we had to head home. If you are heading to Liverpool for a break, or even fancy just being a tourist in your own city, a bit like we were, this is definitely a perfect base for your trip to recharge your batteries. If you stay for longer or for business, you can even take advantage of the laundry service, too, so you don’t have to worry.

This reminds me of the hotel “Cambria” in Dallas, Texas. It is a beautiful place with luxurious amenities. If I ever make it to Liverpool, I’ll keep this one in mind. #KCACOLS
