Have you heard of Galentine’s Day? I hadn’t until this year! It’s a thing apparently and Olivia really got on board by sending us all little memes via WhatsApp! But to make it even more fun, our girls only Valentine’s day came with cake, a Chinese and some new Gel-A-Peel sets specifically for Olivia to make some cards and gifts for her BFF’s. Oh, it was also One Frazzled Mum’s 4th birthday too!

We have had many Gel-A-Peel sets in the past and Olivia has always loved making things with the gel. Our last fashion designer studio saw her uploading some hand-drawn creations onto clothes. This time we had the fuzzy gel set and the jelly gel sets. So of course, Olivia got one of her new friends around to give them a try.

You’re so sweet!

The templates we received in the pack allowed the girls to make some sweet creations as well as some jewellery too! They both got stuck in making each other a card each and a little gift.

We did use the sets on my new coffee table so it was easier to clean, but both of these new sets are a little stickier than we thought so in hindsight, definitely put something down underneath like paper that you wouldn’t mind being ruined!

We did notice they took longer than the recommended time to set too but they managed to move their designs off the templates and onto the cards no problem. The gifts they left until the next morning, just in case.

Then they got to making their cards for each other because BFF’s can share the Valentine’s love too!

A Fuzzy Mess or a Jelly Good Time?

Olivia was, as always pretty pleased with sets. She mainly used the jelly kit as she wasn’t a fan of the fuzzy feel. She did notice they were a little extra sticky than the normal set, as were the fuzzy ones. It’s also worth noting that the fuzzy texture does wipe away quite easily and comes off in your hands so if you want to keep the effect, it needs to have minimal handling!

But once again, these sets didn’t fail to please. They may take a longer to set before handling but they really enjoyed getting stuck in making each other, I think they actually ended up keeping their own, gifts!

If you have a Gel-A-Peel fan or are just starting your collection, these are great on their own but equally can be used with other sets too, as Olivia will be.
