Father’s Day is fast approaching. I don’t know about you, but personally, this year is flying by! In the UK, Fathers day for 2021 is on the 20th of June. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

Traditionally Olivia has always bought gifts for her dad with his mum or his current partner. After the events of 2020, he took a bigger part in Olivia’s life than he previously had, and she spent most of the year living between both of us for extended periods.

So it is only natural she wants a really nice gift to give him this year. One idea was something he could look at some of his photography via. Both Olivia and her dad are photography enthusiasts, and they both own their own DSLR cameras and regularly go out for trips solely to take pictures.

While Olivia is still learning and getting to grips with her camera, her dad is more proficient and spends a lot more time practising than she does.

Our Aluminium Print from ASDA Photo

Firstly, I have to divulge, the image we chose was flagged by ASDA Photo as low quality. Sadly, we couldn’t get the image files any other way than via being discreetly sent through WhatsApp.

Image quality is reduced when sent this way, so a top tip is to use the original files wherever possible and directly upload them to the website for use on products. Generally, I get people to email the image to me, but it wasn’t possible this time.

That being said, I am really pleased with how the image turned out; it really pops off the frame, and honestly, if it weren’t flagged, I wouldn’t have known it was a low-quality image.

The aluminium print comes with fittings to hang on a wall and is quite thin, meaning it is ideal for smaller rooms or when you don’t want the bulkiness of canvas prints on the wall.
