Celebrating Birthdays with the Bags of Love Personalised Photo Cushion

You may remember a while back Olivia and I designed a pair of personalised leggings with Bags of Love. They looked fabulous on and she loved that no one else in the world had leggings exactly like hers! As big fans of personalised products, we were so excited when Bags of Love contacted us again to work with them on designing our very own personalised photo cushion!

Yes Please!

With my sisters 30th birthday coming up soon, this would make an extra special gift with that personalised touch we are looking for! That hardest part for me would be choosing what to put on it!

Bags of Love Photo Cushion.
The Process.

First, you need to go on and select your options. There are different shapes and sizes you can choose to have your cushion in as well as a choice of filling too. Choose from either a 16″ or 20″ (inch) square or a 22 x 16″ (inch) rectangle. I went for the rectangle. It was perfect for the image I wanted to use.

You can have either a feather or poly fibre filling and a choice of zip. A plain zip with no label or a heart zip with a Bags of Love label on the side. I went heart with a duck feather filling. You also have different options for the back of the cushion too. Choose to keep it plain, coloured or pop an image on there too.

It really is that easy.

Design

So many options where to start! Completely and fully customizable with options for single images, multiple images or collages. I went for a single image on the back with writing. Did I mention you can have text on there too? No, well you can. Your cushion, your rules! The only limitations being on amounts of images used for collages to make sure you get the best printing quality possible.

When I first started designing my personalised photo cushion, I started to arrange my images myself but found it was lacking something. So I changed my mind and let the built-in collage setting do the work for me. I was advised to keep it to around 14 images for best quality and so you can see the detail in the individual pictures. I ended up with 15.

There are also options to upload from Facebook or Instagram so you can use all the filtered images you want without having to redo them to use for your cushion.

Final result.

The effect of using the collage setting on the final product is amazing! I was blown away. The layered images are something I wouldn’t have been able to master arranging them myself and I love the overlay of image over image being built up to have the main images bold on top.

With hindsight, the back image doesn’t particularly gel well with the other side, but I really wanted that image, and for who it is for, she will love it. But I kind of knew this before I chose the back image. Nothing to do with the quality or the way the cushion is made, more the difference in having a single image to the collage on the other side.

My Bags of Love Personalised Photo Cushion Verdict.

I love it and I really think my sister will too! The quality of the pictures when transferred over to the cushion isn’t lost in any way. The velvet cover is so soft and smooth and the feather filling gives it a substantial weight and plumpness that serves to fill it out and make it look nice and huggable.

I absolutely have no quibbles with the quality, nor did I with my previous designed leggings. The pillow turned out even better than I hoped.

The option I chose costs £60 with £4.99 p&p. Other designs and options start from £38. To find out how you can get started personalising your own products head over to Bags of Love for your perfect gift personalised gift.

Eeek it’s an expensive cushion but I can totally see why. It’s gorgeous and the cheaper options sound reasonable too. I defo would love to get one of these.
