Competition & Review: Bringing Memories to Life with My-Picture.co.uk

Regular readers of this blog will know of my love for all things personalised. I can’t help but feel like adding a personal touch to items gives it that little something extra whether it is for yourself or a gift for others. I do gift a lot of personalised items for the family but I also like to keep some for myself too. When My-Picture.co.uk got in touch to ask me if I would like to review one of their personalised items I couldn’t say no, could I?

But with so many similar items around the house right now, I needed something a little bit different, something I don’t already have and that would be useful. After all, what is the point of going to the effort to put a personal touch on something only to have it collecting dust around the house? So, with winter quickly creeping up on us, we decided that we would opt for a blanket.

My-Picture.co.uk have a huge range of items at discounted prices, whether you are after a photo book, an acrylic block or something fun like a personalised jigsaw, there will something for lovers of personalised gifts, guaranteed.

Choosing My Photo Blanket at My-Picture.co.uk.

I have to say, the process of adding a picture to create my photo blanket was one of the easiest I have come across. It was literally as simple as uploading the image, adjusting it to make sure it fits correctly via moving it in the box or zooming in and voila, all done. There is the option to add text also but this isn’t something I wanted to do for my blanket so I didn’t use this feature this time. It took me longer to choose the image and edit it before uploading it than it did for me to add it to my chosen item!

My Photo Blanket.

The image I picked for my blanket was one of all the family kids taken when we visited Gran Canaria in June 2017. It may be the last time we all holiday together and it was a good (well, as good as it can get) picture of all of them. Really, I wanted a nice picture of a sunset or skyline. Don’t ask me why but I felt like that would make an amazing image for the blanket but in reality, all the images of this nature I have taken, needed cropping and editing and weren’t suitable. I do know that all the kids will love this when they see it though!

Thoughts?

I love this blanket, honestly. It is so soft and really warm and also has a bit of weight to it which I like. As you can see from the picture above, a great size too. I was a bit unsure about my image before the blanket arrived as I had to resend my image in a bigger file. So if you order a blanket of a similar size (or even win my competition below) keep in mind that the image quality and size may not be suitable when printed onto an item like a large blanket.

But when it arrived, the quality was perfect and exactly how I wanted it. It’s great to be able to have memories on something you can use and see this blanket is exactly what I wanted. A bonus is the size of the blanket for me. I am never sure exactly how big things will be, but this blanket – the biggest size available on the site, is big enough to cover the whole of me and also the length of my 3 seater sofa as the girls are demonstrating.

In terms of quality, the blanket seems really well made and the stitching blends in with the image so it doesn’t detract from the look at all. The blanket is 100% polyester and washable at 30°.

Competition Time.

My-Picture.co.uk have kindly offered me a voucher code for a photo blanket for one of my readers. To be in with a chance of winning a photo blanket (size 150x100cm) worth £40.

Would love to give this to my Mum. My sister and brother-in-law live in the states but when they were over there last, we managed to get a photo of the whole family, all 13 of us, and all looking at the camera for a change. So it would be a lovely present for her.
