Dearest Neighbour,
I believe we haven’t been formally introduced. Although I have to say it was hard not to notice you all on moving day. With your loud chatter and mismatched furniture, you caused quite the commotion. But as I’m not one to judge a book by its cover or lack of if your daughter prancing around in her underwear is anything to go by, I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt.
I’m sure you have found yourself well acquainted with the amenities of our village by now. I notice you have found the local takeaway to be of your satisfaction. Is this due to not yet having found your cooking apparatus after unpacking, I wonder? However, I thought I would bring you up to speed on our well preserved and ongoing village traditions.
Now, I couldn’t help but notice after all we are very close neighbours now aren’t we dear, one would say we almost live in each other’s pockets! That recently you have been frequenting the out of town superstore Bargains- R-Us. I can’t help but shudder at the improper use of grammar; heaven knows what kind of person this place attracts. Upon your return, I spotted a ghastly, and what can only be described as cheap and tacky, string mop.
Now we, the villagers of Chatterington, have certain standards we uphold as we are 3 times winners of the cleanest village in Britain. I’m sure this was mentioned before your taking up residence at Downshill Cottage? Therefore I, as president of the Clean Up Chatterington Committee, find myself in the position of having to bring you up to speed on such matters. Having watched you scramble around in your bags countless times for your keys after closing the door, I presumed that these things would be best written down.
The Clean-Up Chatterington Committee has strict rules on the usage of cleaning tools and products. This enables us to keep our village in tip-top shape and to flush out any competition by leaving no speck of dirt uncleaned. This includes cars also dear neighbour. I’m sure your’s would appreciate a visit to the local valet. This brings me back to the subject of the ghastly mop I presume you are planning on using to clean your floors with.
We would prefer for you to use only approved Vileda branded products. Most specifically the Vileda SuperMocio 3Action XL With 25% extra contact with the floor, I’m sure you’ll agree that it is highly effective in cleaning our floors to help maintain village standards. As a quick reference, I would point out that you need to sweep the mop around the whole floor, including corners. By keeping as much of the mop head on the floor, you can clean up even more dirt than before.

May I point out that this particular dirt removal system has a blue microfibre zone, this will assist you in mopping up any greasy spills upon returning home from your many takeaway meals. With non-scratch scourer zones and also picking up hair and particles with the 3D red dots, it then releases the dirt easily in the water of the bucket. I’m sure you’ll agree it is frighteningly more efficient. Even Winnie from the church agrees too. Said it picks up those pesky biscuit crumbs from after the weekly meetings which are on a Tuesday at 6 pm. I myself have found it removes even the most stubborn of marks from the floor and I’d imagine this particular function would come in particularly handy for those early morning coffee spills which I noticed go neglected until the afternoon!

If you require any more assistance on this, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. That way I can bring you up to speed on the community cleaning programme we in place to help newcomers like yourself ensure you help us all to continue to live in Britains Cleanest Village.
Yours Sincerely
Mrs R. Bottomsley-Harrow
As you may have guessed, I was recently tasked with trying out the new Vileda Supermoccio 3action XL mop. Yep, to review I had to clean! The things I do for this blog I tell you. However, I wasn’t really expecting to notice any difference between this and my pound shops finest string mop. I mean to me a mop is just a mop, except when it’s not…….

I have used the mop a few times now and found with ease it indeed lifted off spilt coffee. Left for review purposes of course. I found it really simple to assemble, and the twist-action on the mop bucket was definitely preferable than my feeble attempts to wring the string mop out that’s for sure. So, I have to say I agree with Mrs R. Top marks for keeping your floors clean and those pesky corners on the cupboards where the dust bunnies like to hang out.
Verdict: My Vileda Supermocio 3action XL Review.
OK, so at first I was a bit like hmmm… I can’t really see any difference on the floor. But my floor is black, so I’ve never really noticed any difference after mopping anyway. For me, it is about ease of use. It is so much easier to cover a larger area quicker. So quick I mopped not only my kitchen floor but also my living room and bathroom too! Totally unheard of all at once. Also, the lack of bits afterwards on the floor is a bonus. Ever find those little bits you missed when brushing that appear as the mop sweeps past? The Supermocio 3action XL grabs them and leaves them in the water! Bonus!

Most definitely the best review of a mop I’ve ever read 😉
Thanks for sharing your review on #TriedTested this week x
LOL this was awesome!!! Loved your writing style 🙂 I’m a huge fan of Vileda products. They work well
And last forever! I hadn’t sent this mop though, I’ll have to take a look for it! #KCACOLS
I’m loving the way you put this review together – made it worth reading about a mop! I wish we had black floors – what daft nut decided white was a good colour to tile a kitchen with! #kcacols
Haha, I wasn’t sure where this post was going to start with! I had a cheapy mop but gave up on it quite quickly, there didn’t seem to be enough mop to it, if that makes sense, the plastic at the end of the handle just felt like it was scraping on the floor! Might be time to take a look at the committee’s suggested brand! x #KCACOLS
Great review ive been thinking of getting this so good to see a review of it. #triedandtested
Tracey, this post is fabulous. It made me laugh. What a great way of reviewing a new product.

Great review and I love the different take on it. I was settled in reading about the lovely nosey neighbour and thinking she was going to get herself in a whole heap of trouble. It was good to see she had some good tips on hand too:)

I guess you can’t go wrong with a good ole Vileda mop and Bucket. Great review my lovely! #kcacols
I dont like the traditional mop as like you I can not see much result. It does look easy to use though
I love your take on this review Tracey! I’m not sure if I’d be too pleased to be receiving a letter from the Clean Up Chatterington Comittee but at least it was a good recommendation right?
