Birthday Season Prep & My Party Bags and Supplies Review
It’s coming up to birthday season. In our family we don’t just have birthdays, we have a birthday season? Why? Because good timing just isn’t one of our things. We just don’t do well with waiting. We want it all now. So, of course, most of our family birthdays would fall at once wouldn’t they!
From Christmas day to the first birthday of the year we have 73 days. 73 days of planning, prepping, sale shopping and eye rolling. Every year we all curse each other as the onslaught gets ever closer. If you’ve bothered to work it out 73 days takes us to the 2nd March. From the 2nd March to 20th April we have 7 birthdays, Easter and Mothers day. 9 events in 50 days. Olivia’s is also included. So it’s safe to say I need to start planning ahead asap!
What better way to prepare than to get my party essentials ready now. This year I’m thinking of taking Olivia out instead of having a party but I will still do a little tea party at home for the family. We have to, it’s a family tradition we play birthday bingo on everyone’s birthday! I usually end up trawling online trying to find the right design for Olivia. Usually I end up trawling online trying to find the right design for Olivia. But this year we received a party pack from Party Bags and Supplies to review.
I’ve never bought it all as a set like this before. Last year I got Olivia’s chosen Monster High range from various different places online but getting it all in one go for me is definitely easier. And saves on the stress of worrying if it will all make it in time. Like the bouncy balls and tattoos that didn’t turn up for the party bags last year. Party Bags and Supplies think of this and as well as your tableware, decorations and accessories you also get the option to have filled party bags too!
What Did We Get?
Olivia went for the Birthday Owl design and we received tableware for 8 including plates, cups, napkins and a table cloth. The pack also had 8 filled party bags.
My Party Bags and Supplies Review.
Cute right, Olivia picked well. I was pleased to see that the plates weren’t the really thin paper kind. I’ve had those before and they’re not suitable for kids parties. These feel like they will be able to withstand being piled high with cakes and sweets, because who needs proper food when it’s a party right!
The table cloth is really big (54x108in). I only have a 4 seater dining table at home so I left it folded in half width wise so you could see the pattern properly. Plenty big enough to cover a longer table should you need it too. Also, it’s plastic, which is great. paper table cloths and spillages aren’t exactly a match made in heaven, are they! Another one from experience.
Party bags. You just can’t have a party without party bags, can you! It’s just not right. Party Bags and Supplies give you the option to buy them filled or empty. I received filled bags. Contents as in the picture above. These will vary depending on what option you go for. But definitely better than scouring the shops looking for things to go in them. In my opinion, it is anyway but then the easy option always appeals to me! Literally just add cake!
And on that note, I have to say the best thing is being able to get it all at once. Together. Then it’s done. isn’t it? Especially if like me you have a million and one other things to remember to do. They take care of everything, except the food obviously. And the party itself, they don’t entertain the kids for you, unfortunately. But that is something else I would totally be onboard with if it was ever an option!
