Home Bargains Cinema Light Box Review
You have probably seen these cinema light boxes around this year. A must have accessory not just for bloggers it would seem. In a true case of keeping up with the Jones’, I so wanted one. Like really, really wanted one. So bad. However being the complete and utter cheapskate that I am I never bought one. Always something better to spend my money on!
Then whilst aimlessly wandering around my local Home Bargains what did I spy in their Star Buy baskets but a cinema light box. Oh my days! It was only £7.99. AB-SO-LUTE bargain! I didn’t even think about it. In my basket it went. No, it wasn’t what I went in for. Who seriously ever just gets what they went in for in Home Bargains! Not me that’s for sure.
Look what I found in @homebargains today! I have been after one of these for a long time now. Olivia is so excited to get using it! (And a bargain at £7.99) #kcacols #northwestbloggers #parentblogger #ukparentbloggers #cinemalightbox #christmas #giftideas #gifts🎁 #homebargains #bargain #homedecor #homeaccessories #blogger #bloggerprops
After snapping this bargain up I thought I would share it with you all in a mini review type post. OK, OK I really want to show it off. But……. just because it’s cheap it doesn’t mean it’s not any good, does it? Or does it.
Home Bargains Cinema Light Box Review.
The thing is I have no frame of reference for other makes so all I can go on is how this looks. It goes without saying it is light and compact but not small. As you can see from the main picture above it’s a really good size. Not too big for what I want it for.
I think I should mention now that although it is mains and battery powered, neither are supplied. This was pointed out to me on Instagram but I had noticed. I have 2 battery packs that power it already and it lit up with only 3 of the 6 batteries required inserted. Again see the main picture at the top of the post for it fully lit. Just to prove my point I of course took a picture from behind the scenes too.
You can see the light clearly through the back of the box and only the 3 batteries installed. Worth bearing in mind especially if you’re not going to have it on constantly. I will definitely have it plugged into the mains when Olivia gets her hands on it. So although the £7.99 appears to be an amazing price for this, if you don’t have the battery pack at home for mains charging, it could get expensive to have on battery wise. Also if you decide to buy a battery pack to use via the mains again that’s an added expense too.
Does it come with anything else?
As the box says 85 interchangeable letters, numbers and symbols for you to make up a whole host of different words and sentences. I would say that’s plenty by any standards. You can fit 8 on each row and you have 3 rows to put your words, phrases, anecdotes or notes on. I can imagine Olivia will have a ball thinking of little messages to leave me on this!
So far I love it. I have plans for it to reside on a little shelf above my ‘desk/office’ in the kitchen. I think it will look great there. It could say things like ‘Blogger At Work’ or ‘You Can Do It’ or something equally
cheesy motivating. We haven’t really used it all that much yet but for what we paid and what we want it for I am pretty pleased with my bargain.
