Reviewing the 3.5L Cosori Air Fryer

You know you’re getting old when the top of your wishlist is something practical for around the house—namely kitchen gadgets. I am well entrenched in the grown-up territory, so when I was approached to review a Cosori Air Fryer, I had to try not to look too eager.

After the demise of my beloved halogen oven, the Cosori Air Fryer looked like a worthy replacement. But would it live up to the hype? I have heard many a good thing about air fryers in general, my mum and one of my sisters have them so it made sense that I would want to try too!

The Cosori Air Fryer

The 3.5l Cosori Air Fryer RRP £69.99, is quite compact in size. It is a 1500W mini oven/chip fryer with 11 presets and temperature control, shake reminder, non-stick basket, LED digital touchscreen and a 100 recipe cookbook.

The Cosori Air Fryer has a square basket meaning you can fit more in, and as it is removable, it is easy to clean too! The presets allow you to literally press a button and auto-select the correct cooking temperature and time for whatever you are making. This includes;

  • Steak,
  • Poultry,
  • Seafood,
  • Shrimp,
  • Bacon,
  • Frozen Foods,
  • French fries,
  • Vegetables,
  • Root Vegetables,
  • Bread,
  • Desserts,
  • Preheat.

How I Found Using the Cosori Air Fryer.

I found it so easy to set up and get started. It is altogether, and all you need to do is remove all the packaging and plugin! The recipe book is brilliant and gives you a good idea of what you can exactly cook in the air fryer. Although I haven’t tried any of them yet, I do plan on it at some point. It is great for new meal suggestions too. I don’t know about you, but I end up sticking to the same foods day in, day out!

At first, I started simple with frozen chips and escalated to the dizzying heights of pork steaks and roasted mini potatoes! I know, chef extraordinaire over here!

I love the shake function halfway through. It means I can make sure it is cooking evenly and I don’t have to keep opening it to check it. I used the steak function for the pork steak, which was a 6 minute preset on 220 before switching to the french fries function as I had the mini potatoes in too.

I left it to run for the first part of the 25-minute preset function and then removed the basket. The pork steaks were cooked perfectly as were the potatoes. This was good to see as I turned the steaks over; I managed to lose some potatoes underneath. It didn’t affect how they cooked at all.

Honestly, this is definitely going to replace other cooking methods for me for a lot of things. I can’t cook a pizza and possibly would struggle to get a whole chicken in unless it was a small one. But for other things I would usually put in the oven, I will now be using my air fryer.

The basket and cooking area is small but plenty big enough for 2 people. There is a bigger 5.5l model for larger families. I have been using Frylight instead of oil for things that need it, such as homemade chips and mini roast potatoes and found I don’t need to coat as much as I would in my oven.

A Welcome Addition to my Kitchen

I absolutely love the air fryer, and I can honestly say it will make a great addition to your kitchen. I have been using mine for around a month now with no issues. It is super easy to use, clean and cooks perfectly. I love that you can adjust times and temperatures to suit yourself and cook different foods together with ease.

If I had purchased, I would have gone with the bigger model, but for myself and Olivia, it is a perfect size and also perfect for non-cooks such as myself (I burn beans!) super simple to master. I can see this being my go-to for literally everything now.

Hi
Just a great review. Especially your ideas of cooking different items together, The meat and potatoes. Therefore I’ll probably buy the larger model, which, when used to cook several different items together makes it very practical for small families also.

I’m thinking about buying a new air fryer these days. Thanks for sharing. I might put this in my shopping list.

This Cosori Air Fryer sounds great, I didn’t realise how much you can cook in these! I may have to invest in one of these!

I bought one, but the menu buttons are so greyed out I can hardly read them. Is this normal?
