Do you ever remember watching the Yellow Pages adverts back in the ’80’s and early ’90’s? I know it makes me sound totally old doesn’t it. But growing up there was one advert that really stuck with me. Kind of fitting considering what I am doing now anyway! It was from 1983 when I was a mere baby however it wasn’t just confined to that year and I grew up seeing it on the TV regularly.
The advert follows a man on his quest to find a fly fishing book. He visits shop, after shop, after shop. “I don’t suppose you stock a copy of Fly Fishing by J R Hartley? It is rather old” he asks. The answer is a resounding no. He goes home where his daughter is waiting and they open up a copy of Yellow Pages. Thanks to Yellow Pages he finally finds his book. Who is he? Why he is J R Hartley of course!
Fast forward (and I mean fast) to 2016. The internet is undoubtedly reaching it’s prime with more people than ever being able to find exactly what they want at the click of a button or the tap of a screen as is the case. I managed to find that advert in under 2 minutes thanks to the power of You Tube. It’s safe to say things have evolved somewhat in the past 30 odd years and so has the way we connect with businesses.
Find What You Need on Bidvine.
Gone are the days of phoning around for people and quotes to get what you need. In the same way you use a comparison site for things like insurances, broadband suppliers, you can now compare quotes for many different services in your local area using Bidvine. A virtual one stop shop for a variety of professionals all waiting for you.
This week I have been using Bidvine to search for photography services. The whole process is pretty simple really. You pop in what service you require, your postcode and answer some specific questions about exactly what it is you are looking for. Then you sit back and wait for the quotes to come to you. No phoning around, no making and losing notes with phone numbers and quotes on. It is all saved in your account section of the site. Who you choose is then up to you.
Quotes can be phoned directly to you or just texted, I opted for this. I asked for a photographer to cover a 2 hour children’s party with candid shots with around 25-50 people. Same budget as the previous one. Within hours I had 3 quotes ranging from £120 to £150. Result!
Would I Use Bidvine in the Future?
Why wouldn’t I! It appeals 100% to the lazy side of me. Just a few clicks and sit back and relax. If you know what you are looking for it’s pretty simple. They then pitch to you for your business. Simple. You can also rate your experience with the company and it appears on their profile. I’m sure none of us want to be conned and pay out for below par services and by having their reviews for potential customers to see I’m sure it helps push for a better service to win more jobs! I know it would with me anyway.
If you are looking for photography services in or around Liverpool then Bidvine is a must to try. With professionals placed in your local area you know you are going to be able to find someone suitable for photography or any other service you require.
Have you used Bidvine before or is it something you would think about using after reading this?
