Tea Drinking with Adagio – Review & Competition

I have to admit before we go any further, these days I am pretty much mostly a coffee kind of girl. But you know what they say – variety is the spice of life! And one thing that you can count on not only have a variety of flavours but some spice also is tea. I’m not talking your bog standard breakfast tea, but the flavoured variety. Adagio Teas specialise in treating us to some delectable flavours to tempt and tantalise our taste buds

Who Are Adagio Teas UK?

Adagio Teas are a UK based company who specialise in bringing you the best quality teas in a whole range of different blends and flavours to tempt almost every palette. From tea sample packs to teaware to help you make the perfect cup for you, Adagio Teas have you covered.

Seriously, I had no idea of the actual range of teas available!

Adagio Tea sent me a varied range including chocolate flavoured tea to moonlight earl grey. Honeybush to chai teas, I had it all to taste. I was also kindly gifted with an IngenuiTEA in one cup and XL size, filter bags and a glass teacup and saucer! Everything a novice tea drinker needs to get started.

All sachets of teas have instructions on them so you know how to prepare them so you can enjoy them at their best. This was perfect for me as without this I would have been lost and no doubt not prepared them properly thus losing out on some flavour.

But first, let us just marvel at the amazing IngenuiTEA.

You prepare your tea as per instructions and when it is ready, you pop the IngenuiTEA on the TOP of the cup. As soon as it connects with the cup your perfect cup of tea is poured as it is released via the base KEEPING ALL of the leaves firmly inside the teapot. I was that impressed I had to add it to my Instagram stories to show everyone.

It is pretty cool to watch I’m not going to lie. If you are a big tea drinker I can’t even begin to tell you how much of a good investment this would be. It is so easy and no mess just perfect tea every time!

But What Did I Think of the Teas?

Firstly let me say that my taste buds aren’t great, so any teas have to be quite strong for me to properly taste the flavours. So I added more tea and steeped it for longer as this was what worked for me.

I have been trying out many of the teas but there are a few I keep going back to. Ironically, and it came as a surprise to me too, the flavours I love in my coffee didn’t translate well to the tea for me. So chocolate, hazelnut etc, just didn’t have the same appeal to me in tea as they do in coffee. Getting this out of the way first gave me the chance to explore all the other flavours Adagio have to offer.

One of my favourite drinks used to be a white tea. I haven’t drunk it for years but I always found it so refreshing. The flavoured white teas are just as refreshing. Especially the White Eternal Spring. I love my coffee first thing in the morning, but the White Eternal Spring had that something that just was just nice and relaxing to drink.

Described as a refreshing mélange of white tea, apples, mango, pineapple, berries and rose petals, I found it relaxing and refreshing with a hint of sweetness to appease my sweet tooth.

I am still experimenting with all the flavours, there are just too many to mention, but my favourites so far are the white teas, honeybush flavours and randomly, the strawberry tea. Although I am pretty sure I will gain a few more favourites along the way as I try all of the teas.

What I have learnt from trying the Adagio Teas is that they aren’t a drink to be rushed. I have been enjoying sipping them as I write. A relaxing drink to savour as I work or relax and not to rush like I would with a breakfast tea or my coffees at 7 am!

What was interesting is that whilst my tastebuds are underdeveloped shall we say, I was still able to pick out some flavours as I sipped away. This could possibly be down to me making them slightly stronger than required but still, it’s a testament to the ingredients as they combine for some delectable flavours and delicious drinks.

If you would like to sample some of the range Adagio has to offer, then I am pleased to be able to offer you an amazing competition to win yourself some sample teas!
