Sunday Walks with Hotter Shoes

I love a good Sunday walk. Getting out when the weather is dry and simply walking with nowhere to go and nothing else to do but get some exercise and fresh air is a favourite for me on Sunday.

I have to be honest, we don’t always manage it every week, but I definitely feel better for it when I do. We are so lucky living on the Wirral that we have some amazing beauty spots and gorgeous coastlines we can take advantage of. Most just a short drive away.

When we head out for a walk, we need comfortable footwear as sometimes, we don’t actually have an endpoint to work towards. Given the right circumstances, we could simply walk and walk. The last thing you want is to realise you have a 60 min walk back to the car and your feet are killing you! Especially with the foot pain I get, thanks to the FM (fibromyalgia).

So what is the best, comfortable footwear for me to wear for my Sunday walks?

Introducing my New Sunday Walk Trainers from Hotter Shoes!

I do live in trainers and flat shoes of late. I simply find them much more comfortable. So it goes without saying I was excited to see how I would fair with a pair of the famed Hotter Shoes. After all, they are the epitome of comfort and I have heard so many great reviews. I was sent a pair of Star shoes in grey (£65) as they come in a wide fit. Another thing I struggle with when it comes to shoes as I have really wide feet.

The colour is a welcome change from my standard black shoes and pairs well with pretty much all of my wardrobe! But aside from them looking good, are they actually as comfortable as they claim to be?

How Comfortable are Hotter Shoes for Long Walks?

Sadly, the UK weather hasn’t really allowed for many walks, nor has the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, I have been wearing my Hotter Shoes out and about to find out just how comfortable they really are.

I get a lot of ‘burning’ sensations in the balls of my feet. This is all day long, every day. I am pleased to share that Hotter shoes were still really comfortable despite this. In fact, even when worn out for a 7+ hour shopping trip, my feet didn’t hurt as much as they usually would with any other pair of shoes.

A shopping trip to Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village proved a perfect testing ground for my Hotter Shoes comfort test in place of the lack of walking weather. Paired comfortably with my denim look jeggings and a casual top, it was the perfect shopping attire for a day of birthday present shopping with my youngest sister.

Even better, they didn’t need breaking in. There is no rubbing, no pain, no discomfort at all. Which, quite frankly is amazing considering how wide my feet are.

Thought on my Star Shoes from Hotter Shoes

I love them. They have replaced my black Sketchers as my go-to trainer of choice when I am off work. So this is a pretty big deal. Sadly, nothing will help the pain I get in my feet on a daily basis – this is something I am stuck with. So I can only look for shoes that won’t make the issue worse. And my Star Shoes from Hotter are those shoes.

They look good, they wear well, what’s not to love!

Hotspots on my Wirral Sunday Walk Hitlist

Later on this year, hopefully, our Sunday walks will take me further than we usually venture. It would be a shame not to take advantage of what we have on our doorstep, wouldn’t it!

Here is a list of some places we hope to visit for a walk sometime soon.

  • Thursaston Country Park
  • Royston Park
  • Arrowe Park
  • Parkgate
  • Coastal Walk Seacombe to New Brighton
  • Coastal Walk Moreton to West Kirby.
  • Coastal Walk West Kirby onwards
  • West Kirby Marine Lake
  • Hilbre Island from West Kirby Beach – Tide Permitting.

Where do you like to go for a walk?

My house backs onto Birkenhead Park, so every day I go for a walk round the park, unless the weather is really awful. We also like to walk along the north Wirral coast, but have not been since the beginning of lockdown as we don’t want to drive somewhere to walk.

I love a good walk, and we try to get out for one most days now as well, even though our options of where to walk are obviously restricted due to the lockdown.
My feet are narrow and flat, so I too really appreciate shoes that are comfortable and offer good support. These seem great x #KCACOLS
