Win a £20 Amazon Voucher
It’s safe to say these past few months have been somewhat of a roller coaster for pretty much everyone. Back in March, when lockdown restrictions were implemented. I never for one second imagined that when Olivia went to stay with her dad for a week, she would still be living there almost full time come August. Would I have still sent her? Probably. We were both working on what we thought was best for her at the time. I doubt either of us would have done anything differently. Olivia has thrived at her dad’s and me, well I have been relishing my time alone.
OK, so at first, those weeks at the beginning of March and April were insane. Working for an independent greengrocer we had our hands full. It was 10-12 hour days 6 days a week. I would come home, shower, eat, clean the house where I had touched things, and go to bed ready to do it again. I was making sure I got at least 8 hours of sleep, and my evening meal at least contained salad or vegetables.
Things did not stay this good for long and once I got wind of takeaways opening, I was there. A lot!
My Life At Home in a Lockdown.
Since then, I have been keeping myself busy and getting some things done around the home. I mean, who hasn’t! Most of us have made at least some small changes to our home during this time. I finally got the new carpets and flooring I have been after for my hall, stairs, landing, and bathroom. Over two months later, I am still thrilled with it!

Olivia’s room has had the most stunning takeover. It isn’t fully finished yet but the difference a change in colour scheme has made is crazy!

I have all my new wallpaper for my bedroom along with the most stunning 3D effect white daisy wallpaper for the living room. I have redecorated the hall and stairs in the same white paint with silver glitter. Olivia too will be having white walls with rose gold glitter and I will probably go for white walls too.
The kitchen has had new accessories as I swapped my tired purple, black, and white scheme to a black, white, and chrome colour scheme. It’s amazing what you can get done when you have nothing else to do, isn’t it! There are plans to add a white distressed brick wallpaper to the diner part of my kitchen.

However, the biggest change however is reserved for the garden. It has taken over three months but honestly, it is the best thing I have ever done.
Before.

After.

Blogging in a Lockdown.
I haven’t had much time to really sit down and write. I have had paid work which I have published on the blog. But I am still missing that desire and urge to write fiction. I’m acutely aware that my last fiction series has been left hanging. It desperately needs finishing off.
Hopefully, that will come back to me soon. Although, I did have a lot of fun putting together some lockdown hampers for my family thanks to a campaign with Swizzels.
For now, I am focussing on getting some posts on Fibromyalgia written and published and just waiting for the fiction bug to bite me once more to get back into the writing habit.
The thing is, for me, this blog isn’t about sharing every minute detail of my life. My personal life is my personal life and sometimes I don’t want to go into everything. My blog is an extension of me. In real life, you wouldn’t find me sharing everything or telling everyone about my life so to do so on here wouldn’t really be me and it would basically be me sharing for views and clicks. That isn’t what I am about at all.
