The Christmas £25 Amazon Voucher Giveaway
Can you believe it is nearly Christmas already? Where has this year gone? I have to say it’s been quite a year for us. What about you? Typically, things go by pretty uneventfully, but we kicked off 2022 in style by adopting our first family dog from Dogs Trust and Tegan the beagle is the best addition to our family. She is 100% a diva, and we love it!
Sadly the rest of the year went to hell in a handbasket, pretty much like the UK economy, and it tanked big time! Despite managing to get to Disneyland Paris in February and Tenerife in October, the end of the year saw us losing our auntie (my mum’s sister) and one of our close family friends. She was only 36, and in 6 weeks, she went from doctors thinking she had vertigo to having stage 4 colon cancer and a brain tumour. Sadly it was too aggressive, and she didn’t get the chance to fight it.
I’m pretty sure I’m not alone when I hope next year is better. And to help kick it off, I thought I would bring back my £25 Amazon voucher competition so you can treat yourself during the dark, gloomy and ridiculously long January; the month that feels longer than a year!
Christmas & New Year Competition Time
I haven’t done a competition recently. The thing is, I am just so busy with my writing job that there is no time left for anything really, including updating my blogs or social media. I want to say things will change next year, but honestly, don’t hold your breath!

New Year Blog Resolutions
I will try to be a “better blogger”, whatever that means? The thing is, I’m not very social, and I go through phases of wanting to share before getting bored! My aim is to get back to publishing a weekly or monthly newsletter for blog posts and updating my social media even more.

The best thing that happened in 2022 was finally getting married! After all the stress of rescheduling throughout covid, we did it in April 22… we had the best time! Small, intimate and fun!
I got a new job that lifted so much pressure off my shoulders.
I became a Granny for the first time! Baby Madison was born in June 2022
We adopted lovely little 10-year-old Cassie in October from a rescue shelter. She was the perfect girl for me, having been companion to a disabled lady who sadly passed away. I am also disabled housebound and, after losing our elderly dog last spring, she has brought such happiness, and made our house feel like home again.
The best thing that happened to me in 2022, was starting a fabulous new job, with wonderful colleagues and a supportive manager.
My twins starting Uni, although I’m so happy for them and very proud I do miss them a lot
Swimming outdoors through the winter and receiving my Polar Bear certificate and medal.
Being able to take the school holidays off work so I could spend so much time with my children.

Booking a holiday to the Maldives for 2023 was the most positive thing in my 2022 & I also had a big 40th birthday party which was great fun.

We found out we are expecting twins. One of each sex. We are super excited for march to come along so we can meet them xx
First of all much sympathy on the loss of your auntie. Losing a loved one at any time is awful but just before Christmas somehow makes it even worse.
My best moment of 2022 was starting to talk (via zoom) to a new friend in Spain. I want to learn Spanish and she wants to learn English so we talk for 30 minutes in each language about anything and everything. It’s been brilliant because not only have I improved my confidence in Speaking the language but I’ve made a new friend too. I’m hoping to visit her later this year when we will meet in person for the first time and I will hopefully get to meet her new baby!

The best thing that happened to me in 2022 was winning a TV in a magazine competition. The article just said Smart TV, so I had no idea what I was getting until the courier arrived – it’s a 55″ Sony Bravia Google TV! I love it
It’s been another tough year but I survived another year of chronic illness + sepsis, 3 kidney surgeries, UTI & COVID 3 weeks from each other. Grateful to be alive.
The best thing about 2022 was starting my dream job
Getting to go on a cruise for my 50th birthday, it was postponed a year and a half due to covid
To be honest 2022 was not a good year for us. But positively, we all worked at it, stood together and got through it.
Finally moving house. It was a stressful year with a few house moves for various reasons. But finally settled and looking forward to getting the house decorated etc this year to my taste

actually finding out the cause of some of my health issues, after being laughed at, judged by drs, been called a liar and being told its all in my head… to be told these things for so long to now be told sorry we were wrong, it feels good even thou id rather not actually have the issues, least now i can get the help i need

We went to the commonwealth games, it was amazing to be a part of it an we saw England top the medal podium in the Judo!

I reconciled with my parents after they abandoned me for having a mental illness. I learnt sometimes in order to receive kindness you must let go of hatred and be kind so people can learn from your kindness
After Covid, being free to live normal, everyday lives. Wonderful!

I got a new puppy, rehomed him. He’s sweet (but naughty) and livens up my house!
The best thing about 2022 for me, was adopting a pet.
Enjoyed some amazing family days out at the beach, zoo, trampoline parks, aquariums. Created amazing memories with my children.
I left a volunteering role that was making me stressed out and unhappy. I feel so much better now!
