Weekly Planner

I’m not one for being organised. At all. I can’t even begin to tell you about the things I have forgotten about, to do, etc because, let’s face it, my memory is………..well it’s not what it used to be! Don’t get me wrong I can tell you the most random things from years ago, regale Olivia with stories of what she was like as a baby, yet ask me to tell you something tomorrow, you’ve got no chance! What?…….You told me yesterday?………..Sorry, not a clue my friend!

Having taken the choice to go self hosted on the blog, lately I have been trying to put more effort into it and slowly my hard work is paying off, yet I am still losing track of things. Idea’s for posts, dates to post things by, when I have linked up to linkys (Don’t know about linkys? Look for the badges on my posts to take you to some fabulous bloggers who in turn will point you in the direction of other fabulous bloggers see #KCACOLS or #readwithme on these posts for a couple of examples.)

Squeezing blogging in around work means something else is squeezed out of my teeny tiny memory part of the brain, funny how it never forgets to remind me of my chocolate habit isn’t it! So it was time to sort it out. Now you know I am rubbish at this techy stuff. I have no idea about spreadsheets or using word/office/something else technical I have no idea about to help me organise and remember stuff. I will learn, I’m sure I will at some point I think, but right now…………..right now what I need it a a good old pen and paper and to write it all down. Preferably in some sort of order that makes some sort of sense, unlike this is right now.

I was always rubbish at filling in diaries and stuff, but now I carry round my big mum handbag I figured it would always be on me and as soon as something pops into my head I can write it down before it disappears forever! Oh, note to self, I so need a journal for next to my bed for those pesky, yet brilliant, night time ideas that are gone before I wake up. So……….I bought my very first weekly planner. A cheap, but amazingly simple one that even I can figure out.

Even I can figure this out can’t I! Simples. And an absolute bargain for only 69p! Should keep me semi organised for now and I will be putting one on my xmas list, maybe Olivia could get me one instead of the usual handbag she likes to buy me as much as I love bags.

What do you use to keep yourself organised? Are you a paper fan or is your life stored online or you a spreadsheet fan? I would love to know what you recommend, leave me comment and let me know 🙂

  1. A weekly planner is such a great idea, I really need to get something similar. I had been trying to keep things electronically, but I always miss the act of physically writing things down on paper! x

  2. bargain! I always buy a planner every year in January and stop using it part way through the year. This year I’m determined to be more orgainised!!

  3. What a bargain! Well you probably know that I will always favour putting pen to paper like this over spreadsheets and online schedules. I have a fair few planners and journals and they do help to keep me on track! Thanks very much for joining in with #PaperyPeep x
