My DietBon Review. A Diet Meals Delivery Service

As you are aware, I have a pretty love-hate thing going on with food right now. I am always trying to eat better (and less) and improve my overall health. Mostly though it seems I am always somewhat lacking in the willpower department! So when I was sent a week’s worth of meals from a new to the UK diet meal delivery service, I was absolutely up for giving it a try!

I have tried quite a few diets and meal replacement services in the past all with varying degrees of success and results. All with the same goal in mind, to help people lose weight easily and healthy. Taking up a DietBon review was exactly what I needed to help me not only eat better, healthier meals but also regular meals too instead of grazing and snacking all day.

What Is DietBon?

Before starting my DietBon review, I had a little look on the website to find out what they are all about and exactly how they can help you to lose weight with their diet meals delivery service. With 83% satisfaction rate from their European customer base, DietBon is new to the UK with their range of healthy meals.

The DietBon system is pretty easy to follow. All your meals and snacks are provided and prepared by professional chefs. All the food is dietician approved, nutritionally balanced and you also have access to consultations each month with a dietician along with group meetings too. For each week you are provided with 6 breakfasts, snacks and meals. All you need to do is to add vegetables to your meals and yoghurts and fruit to your breakfast. They provide you will all the tools to stay on track to lose weight whilst on plan and a booklet containing recipes and information on how you can still eat well on your rest day each week.

There are plenty of meals to choose from including vegetarian options all requiring very little preparation. Just 2 minutes in the microwave for meals, 20 seconds if you choose pancakes for breakfast and you are ready to go. It is recommended you eat a selection of raw green vegetables with your meals as much as possible.

What Meals Did I Choose for my DietBon Review?

I don’t eat pasta or rice, or even a lot of fish, except salmon really. So whilst this does narrow down my choices significantly, I still had a  great range of meals to choose from. You are able to choose your meals yourself so you can still eat what you want from the range and not worry about having to eat food you don’t really like.

The Food I received for my DietBon review included;

  • Pancakes for breakfast
  • Lemon Muffins for snacks
  • Fruit Compote
  • Organic Shepherd’s Pie
  • Soy Steak and Vegetables
  • Marinated Grilled Salmon and Mashed Courgette
  • Spicy Tomato and Beef Soup
  • Roast Chicken Fillet with Mashed Potatoes
  • Pork Tenderloin with Mashed Potato
  • English Beef Stew with Winter Vegetables
  • Sauteed Pork with Diced Vegetables and Bacon
  • Healthy Fish pie with Cauliflower Puree, Cod and Trout
  • 14 days Energy Booster Teatox
  • 14 days Keep Calm Teatox

What I Thought of the Meals on My DietBon Review.

I chose to start the plan on a Monday, which coincidentally is my longest day at work and most full on. My thinking was if I could get through this day on the plan other days wouldn’t be all that tough. Plus, the first day is always the worst day, isn’t it! My initial thoughts were this wouldn’t be too bad. However, after a positive start, the day didn’t end well as both of my chosen meals for that day weren’t all too appetising and didn’t appeal to my tastebuds.

Honestly, I felt a little bit deflated and wondered if the whole week would be the same. But when Tuesday came around, that days meals were so much better and tastier. This, of course, will differ from person to person as we all have different tastebuds and meal preferences. But I was pleased to find some really good meals after the initial disappointment on Monday. I was glad to have gotten those meals out of the way though!

One thing I did struggle with, a lot was the hunger. I am really bad for snacking and grazing and will constantly be nibbling on something. I recognise this is a really bad habit – it is one of the reasons I wanted to do this review, but for the week, I felt permanently hungry. Again, this could be down to my personal appetite and reducing my calorie intake by, at my best guess, over half. Gone where the overloading on carb binges and chocolate munchies. In came the headaches as the sugar withdrawal hit and cravings for carbs. This is a big change for my body but I struggled with not feeling full and meals keeping my hunger at bay for no more than 90 minutes to two hours.

I kept up drinking the water and teas supplied with my meal plans too, morning and night along with a black coffee in the morning. Keeping hydrated is key, but at times I felt I needed a little something extra between meals and resorted to adding extra fruit to help keep me going. The teas were nice, but generally, I don’t drink fruit teas so I found it hard going to drink them each day.

My Verdict on My Dietbon Review

I was really glad I took part in the DietBon review. Whilst I feel this may not be the right plan for me, right now, I do feel a lot of people will benefit from this whether they want to lose weight or not. After just 1 day, my body felt healthier and less sluggish which was an amazing feeling. I could feel my bloating from overeating had reduced considerably and I actually lost 4lbs over the week. This is with also having takeout one night for my mums birthday too!

If you would like to give DietBon a try, prices start from £44 a week (prices dependant on the length of subscription) and are delivered to your door on a date to suit you. If you click through via this link One Frazzled Mum Offer, you can take advantage of an offer to get a free 28 day supply of morning and night teatox when you take out any plan for 1,2,3 or 4 months.

Very interesting, thank you. I think something like this would be great to help me expand the range of food I eat, as I do tend to get into a rut with the types of meals I prepare. It does all sound pretty tasty!

I honestly feel the need for a meal subscription, even without the weight loss! They’ll definitely make me eat healthier and would be a godsend so that I don’t have to cook when I get home from work. I love these meal ideas and the packaging is cute too! Great review #KCACOLS

Interesting to read about your experience & that’s amazing weight loss! I did this plan for 1 week for a review on my blog & 4 weeks for a review for a national newspaper (Google Natalie Brown Daily Mail Dietbon & you’ll find it – don’t read the comments though !) It really did work for me but you have to stick to it! #KCACOLS

I think these plans are great for people who do not like to cook or are far too busy to do so. I love to cook from scratch using fresh ingredients. My one tip for anyone who wants to have a healthier and less sluggish life is keep away from processed foods.

No, never made use of a meal plan delivered to my door, as a weight loss diet plan / management. Sounds a good idea, as convenient, has variety, and I do enjoy tea. Price is often what can have an impact. Especially with no experience of the meal plan system, as could find it difficult to complete, or not suitable in practice / use.
