Move over Thelma and Louise. There are some new kids in town. Well actually maybe not Thelma and Louise because we all know how that ended, and I, for one, want to be around for more road trip fun! In fact, what I’m trying to say is that it is totally possible to have some girly fun while on the road having mum and daughter time on a road trip, and you can find out more about this in my post below.

Your Destination

You can’t really have a trip without a destination, now can you? Of course,  when it comes to choosing what your final location goal will be its a smart idea to get your daughter involved. After all, she is much more likely to want to come on the trip in the first place if she has a hand in choosing where you end up. This can help you both look forward to your mum and daughter time more.

Your Journey

Although, it is smart to remember that just like life, when it comes to road trips, it’s not the destination that matters so much, as the journey and the stops you make along the way.

What this means is that it’s a good idea to break your entire journey up into smaller segments, stopping in between each one at somewhere fun like an attraction, a city you want to visit, a landmark, or even a restaurant you want to try.

Your Wheels

What is the one thing you will be doing more of than anything else on a road trip? Yes, that’s right driving, and what that means is anything you can do to make this part of your journey more enjoyable is a good idea.

Of course, many people ensure that their vehicle has a service before they set off and that the seats are set to the right position to make long stretches in the car comfy.

However, some folks may wish to go the extra mile, and invest in buying or leasing something like the New Audi TT Roadster a fun convertible. Then you can put the top down and blast your tunes while you are on the road from one destination to another.

Your Entertainment Whilst Enjoying Mum and Daughter Time

Of course, no matter how many fun stop you have planned on your journey, there will be some time where you need to drive. In fact, it is at these times that it can be beneficial to have some things to keep you both entertained.

One type of entertainment that can work well is to create a playlist on a music app specially designed for the trip. Something that you can both do together before you have even left.

Alternatively, if you are a family of book worms and literature fans like I am, you may want to opt for a favourite, or even new audiobook to listen to while you are travelling? Then not only will you have your IRL journey to share with your daughter but a journey in a fantastical or magical land as well. Now that really will make your road trip, one to remember!
