I am back once again to link up with Alice Megan’s linky Look In My Letterbox. I don’t often get exciting post usually some samples, mostly bills and a guaranteed promo letter from both Capital One and Virgin Media! But this week, this week we have been shopping again (last weeks spree) but this time we went online.
We hit the sofa, the best place for a wet and windy bank holiday if you ask me, and got down to some serious shopping. Olivia had received an email from Build a Bear to say she had collected enough points for a £5 off voucher. exactly how much do you have to spend to get that? I think she may have a problem. Also left over from her birthday, she still had a £10 gift card so she used this to treat one of her bears to a new outfit.
Next on the list are some bits we were both in need of. For Olivia some school shoes. She has grown out of her current ones and I managed to get some for just £9 in the sale. Think I should of got 2 pairs to put one away for next year, oh well. Then I finally and I mean finally got round to getting myself a new sports bra and trainers. Being of a larger size I really some serious support from my sports bras. As you may know I was wearing 2 as my amazing shock absorber one is in a smaller size from when I lost 2 stone so there was no way it was going to fit me now. I did order one a while back a Berlei one I think. There was literally no support I may have well been wearing a normal bra so this time I stuck with Shock Absorber again. 100% the only sports bra I will ever wear from now on!
I also needed, desperately, a new pair of trainers. My old Karrimor ones were well past their sell by date and I was getting serious pains not only in my feet during classes but my knees during my HIIT workouts. I had a budget of £30 and I was struggling to be able to find a pair I loved, well pin it down to one pair anyway. I wanted them to be functional for the workouts I do, be really comfortable and look cute too. I also wanted them to be pink because I like pink and because my last ones were blue! Now the ones I picked were a little over my budget at £34 but OMG! when I put them on I literally didn’t even want to take them off to go to bed, love, love, love them!
Lastly I decided to treat myself to some new jeggings from Very. My mum and my sister rave about them but to be honest I am kind of disappointed in them. They are really stiff and I only managed to keep them on for an hour as they kept falling down. Also a big thank you to my neighbour for taking them in for me as they all arrived on one of the only 2 days a week I work, typical hey!
So there we go. Some great, and not so great, things through the post this week? What have you received this week?
