When We Went Shopping……….

Warning: Shopping Spree Alert!

It is very rare this happens, like virtually never, but this week when we went shopping not only did Olivia get some new threads (again) but I did too! Oh yes, I actually treated myself to some new clothes. We are going to Manchester on Sunday and I may have definitely had a little meltdown as I literally hate all of my clothes, all of them!

Mainly I needed some shoes, but other bits and pieces wouldn’t of been unwelcome should I come across them. After school we popped to our local shopping centre to see what they had to offer. Don’t you hate it when you actually have the money to go shopping and want to buy something yet you can’t find anything? Well, I found plenty only apparently so did everyone else in my size and with all the will in the world not one part of my body can squeeze into a size 14 no matter how I wish/pull/tug/swear. Usually this leaves me feeling all “I hate my body I’m going on a diet” but not this time. Whilst I am still of the plus sized body shape, my regular workouts have ensured that I am more toned and healthier than I used to be and as such I am slightly less repulsed and annoyed at my body than usual, result. Luckily Asda was able to help me out so it wasn’t a complete failure.

Olivia on the other hand wanted to buy literally everything in Peacocks. Peacocks is a new addition to our local shopping centre and OMG she literally was in tween heaven. I could feel my debit card crying in my purse in between me hyperventilating at the sight of her bulging arms heading off to try on EVERYTHING. Also this week I relented and bought her some school summer dresses. She loves them, I love how easy they are and in true British fashion she wore them Thursday and it rained. A lot!

So what did we buy……………..

I got a lightweight grey jumper with a white vest underneath. I love the laser cut detail around the top of the neck and 2 cardigans. I love cardys I really do. I also treated myself to some new jewellery, I haven’t worn any in so long and they were in the sale. In fact all my items were in the sale. Gota love bargain! The main reason I went out was for some new pumps which I got too finally from Primark.

Olivia got a grey/pink top with NY lettering in silver on the front. It has cut out shoulders and is more of a grown up look than she would normally wear but we loved it and got it in a size 11-12 for £8 from Peacocks. When she got home she paired it with some denim shorts which I am pretty sure are last summers and they are in the picture with some pumps she got for her birthday and the River Island bag.

We 2 in different styles and I can see her wanting to wear these every day now. This may be the answer to her morning meltdowns over dodgy collars on her school t-shirts, if you know how to solve this issue please, please, please let me know.

Got to love a good shopping trip, and you deserve a medal for buying yourself something when you have intentions of buying child clothes too (i usually buy the kids their stuff and end up forgetting myself!). Loving the gingham dresses, I need to pick up Leahs ready for the warmer days. #Weekendtotstyle

Yay for getting something for yourself as well! I am a huge shopping addict and fashion follower but since having a child I’ve found myself rarely buying for me and always buying for Little I instead. Loving all your picks, especially the shoes 🙂 Thanks so much for linking up with us and hope you’ve had a great weekend! #weekendtotstyle
