Mamma Mia
Whether you can’t get enough of the award-winning film or are an avid ABBA fan, experiencing Mamma Mia come to life on stage is a must. Having enthralled over 60 million people around the globe since its inception, Mamma Mia the Musical is a moving, high-energy and unforgettable musical production with a hilarious script, dazzling choreography and of course, a sensational musical score bursting with ABBA hits.
Featuring hits such as “Money, Money, Money”, “Dancing Queen”, “Super Trouper”, “Lay All Your Love on Me”, “Take a Chance on Me”, “Knowing Me, Knowing You”, and “Mamma Mia”. Following the much-loved story of Donna and her daughter Sophie, who is due to be married on an idyllic Greek island, Mamma Mia is a colourful, lively musical production.
Showing at the Liverpool Empire Theatre from the 28th April – 9th May, Mamma Mia the Musical is a fabulous musical for the little ones with an age restriction of 5+. This age limit is up to the parent’s discretion.
Everyone’s Talking About Jamie
Described as the modern-day Billy Elliot, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie has made British musical History with its unique, compelling story-line which has wowed audiences around the UK. Inspired by the BBC documentary “Jamie: Drag Queen at 16”, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie follows the touching journey of Sheffield born Jamie Campbell, who at the age of 11, dreams of becoming a drag queen. With the support of his incredible friends and mother, Jamie must overcome prejudice and bullying on his Sheffield council estate.
Featuring a high-octane musical score, spectacular choreography and a profoundly moving storyline, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is not to be missed at the Liverpool Empire. Catch it from the 16th – 20th June. Suitable for slightly older children, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie has an age restriction of 7+.
Hairspray
Based on the original 1988 film production, Hairspray the Musical has become a global musical theatre sensation. It has received multiple awards and critical acclaim. With its phenomenal musical score and upbeat 60s dancing, it will transport you to the swinging 60s America in no time! Set in Baltimore 1962. A time of change and racial divides. Hairspray tells the captivating story of Tracey Turnball, who is determined to follow her dream of dancing on the Corny Collins show with teenage heartthrob, Link Larkin, as well as join the fight for equality.
From the 9th -14th November, Hairspray the Musical will be showing at the Liverpool Empire Theatre and with an age recommendation of 6+, it can be enjoyed by most children!
