I am terrible for living in my pj’s at home. Anyone else? The thing is I like to be cool and comfy when I’m at home, who doesn’t! So if you turn up unexpectedly at my front door there’s a high chance you will find me in either that days PJ’s of choice or some designated loungewear! That’s the joy when I choose my Work From Home Outfits, no one is going to see what I’m wearing!
Now don’t get me wrong, I do get up, get showered, some days I might even slap on some makeup and
style brush my hair. But if it’s my day off from the day job and I’m not leaving the house, I won’t have clothes on suitable for going out in public. Especially if it’s Friday. As I spend a lot of time sat down with my laptop writing at home, I want to be comfortable. Loungewear and PJ’s is totally where it’s at when picking my Work From Home Outfits.
My Work From Home Outfits of Choice
Some sometimes I buy clothes that are really comfortable and I love, but on me, they don’t look right for wearing outside of the house. They look and feel for the most part like I’m wearing PJ’s. So they become my designated WFH outfits. Something that I can throw on to sit around in all day that isn’t restricting and is comfy no matter what I am doing. Also, it looks slightly more respectable when I answer the door than being in my ‘I don’t like mornings’ vest top and shorts PJ combo!
Usually, the random tops and bottoms look like they should match, especially when combined with a vest top. So it kind of looks like I do make the effort to get dressed. But really……. I rarely leave the house in these clothes and will get dressed if I have to go anywhere. OK, I’ll throw some leggings on but still!
If I am having a real lazy day. Or after a shift at work when I get home and I’m all hot and sweaty. I’ll jump straight in the shower. Then I’ll throw some PJ’s on. Some of it resembles loungewear but most of it not so much. I am not a morning person so most of my nightwear consists of phrases such as ‘do not approach without coffee’ or ‘I’m not a morning person’ and so on. All very true but slightly random when I open the door to a delivery at 1 pm still sporting my ‘I’m not a morning person’ PJ’s. Especially as all of my shorts and tops combos are really short shorts! So chances are nightwear is usually only worn first thing or in the evening.
These days I have a whole host of ladies nightwear in my wardrobe. Being part time WFH means for a bigger range of non-outdoor clothing items for me sit around in. As well as the shorts I have invested in some night-dresses and thin dressing gowns for if it gets a bit cool. You can get some great designs these days that don’t remember what your nan wears! I like mine sleeveless as if I’m wearing a maxi dress. I am obsessed with maxi dresses right now. There is also the obligatory fluffy dressing gown and my fleece lined joggers set. Part active wear/part nightwear/all comfort!

So yesterday we decided to buy our first set of matching pj's from @primark. I love that can both have the same clothes now so this morning we are twinning before she gets too old and refuses to do it 😉 Edited to add this post to this week's #UnPocoDeTodoUK Opening at 9pm 7/11/16 theme is parents in the picture. #kcacols #ukparentbloggers #kids #daughter #igkids #letkidsbekids #kidsinstagram #kidsfashion #twinning #twinningwithmommy #twinningiswinning #thelionking #pj #pjs #loungwear #ootd
The thing is though I don’t actually sleep in PJ’s. This recent revelation horrified my mum and one of my sisters. They are now no doubt wondering when on earth I wear the many, many pairs I get bought for birthdays and Christmas! Now they know, they are my Work From Home outfits of choice!
