Finding Time to Relax with Combogesic

I recently received a lovely little care package from Combogesic to help me relax and take some time to indulge in a little self-care now we are nearly at the end of birthday season.

Suffering from various pains due to my back problems, I do struggle to find relief and sometimes I find myself reaching for the painkillers when it gets a little bit too much. I also have been neglecting myself recently as I rush from one thing to the next, birthday to birthday and trying to keep up the pace. It is so easy to neglect yourself when you have a lot on, isn’t it!

Combogesic is a pain relief product that combines paracetamol and ibuprofen in one tablet.

The double action formula works faster and can deliver up to 30% more pain relief than either ingredient separately. It also means fewer tablets to take than taking both ibuprofen and paracetamol on their own.

Combogesic is available to buy from the pharmacy counter at Boots for £3.99 for a box of 16 tablets.

So with my care package and an unexpected night home alone, thanks to Olivia being out at a sleepover, it was time to treat myself to a little indulgence and relaxation. The pretty silver box contained a scented candle, a face mask and a luxurious bath bomb.

It was time to dig out a good book, crack open a bottle of wine and relax in the bath. Something I do rarely but is always long overdue when I do.

I can definitely say it helped me sleep better that night.

You know that feeling of running on empty but you keep going anyway because, well you just do? That’s me pretty much most days lately and taking one night out to do something for me, was 100% beneficial. But it’s not always as easy to put into practice, in reality, is it?

So here are some of my favourite ways to take a break from the daily grind and take care of you a little bit more.

  • Read a book
  • Take a bath
  • Yoga
  • Go for a walk
  • Do a workout
  • Take up a hobby
  • Binge watch TV (box sets or movies)
  • Take a nap.
  • Have a pamper session, do your nail, or  have an at-home facial
  • Indulge a little and go for a massage.

How do you like to take some time out from your busy schedule to relax and pamper yourself?
