Christmas Stocking Fillers from Snapfish

Are you still in need of inspiration for stocking fillers or gifts for christmas? I am really rubbish at buying gifts and end up a last minute buyer pretty much 90% of the time. This being said however I am partial to the giving of personalised gifts though. I love to receive them too *ahem, hint, hint anyone………….?* My sister got me a lovely framed picture of me and Olivia but on the whole I tend to give them more than receive them.

Personally I think it gives that little bit extra if it’s personalised as you have put that extra bit of thought and consideration into it rather than just grabbing the last bunch of flowers from the petrol station on your way home! With the whole internet seemingly able to personalise just about anything it can be hard to know who to choose to get the best product for your money isn’t it? Or is that just me? Probably!

When Snapfish offered me the opportunity to create some personalised christmas gifts I knew exactly what to choose and who I was getting them for. Every christmas (and mother’s day) we make little auntie gifts bags, up to £5 total with some little knick knacks and then a whole load of sweets, so this would be perfect for them. Making up 3 individual flipbooks each one personalised for each sister. With Snapfish giving you the option to fully customise the design, colours, patterns and picture sizes they could as personalised as you want with the option to add captions too. My mum now has her own Nanny’s calendar for 2016 too, with pictures of all of her grandkids to see her through the year.

The process really is simple to use, even I couldn’t mess this up! You literally click the upload button to upload as many or as few pictures as you like/need and you are ready to go. Honestly the hard part is actually choosing what to order as there are so many things I was really spoilt for choice. And if you get stuck, like I did on the flipbooks there is even the option to have your pictures inserted for you. I was actually impressed with all the options available to be able to fully customise every part of your order, with help and support available if you get stuck too. You have to preview and accept your order too before confirming so you can be 100% sure everything is just how you need it before confirming your order I am actually thinking of placing another order soon, which I will go into a bit more later on.

Upon arrival I was actually quite impressed with the quality of the products and how good they look. Let’s face it, with the low prices on the products you could be forgiven for thinking they wouldn’t look professional but they really do look and feel great. Take the photo panel Olivia chose to make me for one of my christmas gifts (apparently I am forgetting I even have this!) My favourite thing about it isn’t glass so this is perfect for parents no worrying about broken glass should it get knocked over. And the flipbooks, well I can tell you that the little fingers of my delightful yet destructive mini niece and nephew cannot rip these whilst flipping through pictures again and again and again…………..

What if I kept it simple. What if the original ideas where the best. Being only 9, I wanted something fun that she would like, be able to enjoy and have it just the way she wanted.

There is a big blank wall (well a pink blank wall) in her bedroom I have been umming and ahhing over for ages. What if we created a memory wall. A wall of pictures for her, of her, friends, family, memories. To collage and create herself, whenever and how she wanted to. Snapfish have enabled that to come to life, or rather will do after christmas. I ordered a starter of 30 prints, and a wall art sticker elsewhere (that she chose herself randomly?!), as an extra special personalised gift that she can create herself. So we will be revisiting Snapfish, to grow as our memories grow, as our family grows and as she grows too. I can’t wait to share it with you. Using these prints I was also able to create a poster for Olivia to take to her dads with all of them in a 10×7 print. These are ideal for making timelines. 1 poster per year with a selection of your favourite pictures on and with the option to add a caption they can even be dated/ages, anything. Then hung on a thread with pegs across a wall. All their memories in one place! Imagine how good you could make it look! All with a little help from Snapfish! So really the creativity is what you make of it isn’t it! With a little bit of imagination there really isn’t anything stopping you, so what are you waiting for pop over now to see what you can create.

Verdict:

Great site, fab gift ideas, really easy to use and reasonable prices too for the quality (and speed of service) for example, the calender was only £9.99 and photo panel £12.99 I mean you can’t moan at those prices can you! My only gripe was a teeny tiny one and was to do with the back page of the flipbooks. They really let it down I would of liked to of seen a photo to pull it together and the order details just on a separate slip maybe? But for those of you who like getting creative, have fun let your imagination run wild and go create some fabulous stocking fillers for your friends and family too.

Disclaimer: I was gifted a voucher credit for the above items but all thoughts and opinions are honest and my own based on the products and service received.

  1. I’ve been very tempted to get some calendars made for our relatives who live up north and don’t see our children often, they really do look great.

  2. I attempted to do a Calendar for my mum this year of her grandchildren, but my siblings are so unorganised it never happened, next year I will have to start it properly early x
