Choosing a New Rug or Carpet for My Home

The past 12 months or so have seen me slowly redecorating my home and freshening it up from dark and drab colours to light, fresh and airy colours to give my small home the illusion of space.

Due to limited funds this is a work in progress and I am still in the process of getting to where I want to be. March saw me finally get the white and glitter paint on the walls in my hallway and the difference it has made to the narrow space is amazing. But one thing that is lacking is new flooring.

My whole house is in need of new carpets or flooring throughout. I have laminate in my living room, vinyl in the kitchen and bathroom and carpets in the rest of the house.

Ideally, I would love to replace the hallway carpet with laminate or vinyl in a grey wood effect with a silver or black runner. I think my front room would also benefit from a round rug under my coffee table to pull it together.

Replacing carpets and rugs is a big job and can be costly depending on the options you choose but the effects it can have are not only changing the look and feel of your home but by providing extra warmth in the colder months too.

If you are looking at replacing or adding new carpets orΒ extra large rugs, Land of Rugs has this handy infographic to help you decide what is the right option for your home. I also have a 10% discount for my readers too should you decide to purchase. Use code blogger01
