A LOVE AFFAIR WITH SCANDINAVIAN STYLE.

I started Scandimummy back in the late Spring of 2015 to showcase not only my love of all things Scandinavian, but to create a lifestyle and parenting blog that would allow me to use all my creative skills. Less than 18 months down the line and it’s now my job and I love calling myself a blogger.

To claim that Caspian has a favourite outfit or style might be to exaggerate as he’s only 20 months and his likes and dislikes seem to change daily. If he could speak in complete sentences I think he would probably say naked and wearing his red fire engine wellies, which he loves putting on himself, especially the wrong way around.

So for now I’m taking it upon myself to tell you what I prefer him dressed in. Naturally I have a love for Scandinavian brands, but I only really discovered many of these after becoming a mum back in early 2015, as I haven’t lived in Denmark for the past seven years, so kids clothes were not on my radar then. There’s a quite a following here in the UK though as the quality is high and most brands carry organic materials.

One of my absolute favourites is Danish brand AlbaBabY (http://albababy.dk/). Caspian has several outfits from them, but this one with the white and teal stripy dungarees and teal vest has to at the top of my list. It matches his eyes perfectly and fits really well. It’s super soft and he’s free to move around easily. I snapped these photos in Copenhagen Airport last time we were there, so a very Scandi setting, too.

Some of our other Scandinavian favourites include Swedish high street brands Lindex and H&M, which he’s wearing in the second photo. I recently discovered some amazing French and Spanish brands, too, like absoba and garabatisse, the latter brand has made the funky harems he’s in.

My own style changes a lot, though I’m starting to feel more comfortable with myself and know what suits me. It’s been great fun picking outfits for Caspian especially as I know he’ll soon enough have his own opinion of things and what to wear. One thing is for sure he’s much cooler than I ever was!
