How to Create a Fuss Free Skincare Routine
Not everyone has the time nor motivation to do a seven-step skincare routine. For some, the time to simply splash our face with soap and water can be difficult. However, it’s important to take at least ten minutes out of your day to give some care to your skin. Here are some tips to have a more fuss-free skincare routine.
Use Micellar Water Over Wipes
Although wipes can seem quite quick and easy, they’re not so effective in helping to remove all the makeup and dirt from your face. They can also be quite abrasive on the skin, and you’ll end up rubbing your face raw with some of them. Instead of wipes, use something like micellar water instead. It’s quick, gentle and effective in remove make-up with a few sweeps of a cotton pad. It’s something you can do in the dark when you’ve forgotten to do it in the bathroom, so there’s really no excuse to at least remove your makeup after a long day of wearing it. Even if you don’t wear makeup, it’s good to use as a remover of dirt.
The Key Is to Moisturise
Moisturising your skin is essential because regardless of the time of year, your body always needs moisture. As a rule, make sure you lather yourself up in body lotion, using it all over the body. The drier parts of your body like the elbows and knees can do with an extra helping, so find one that soaks in quickly enough that you can throw your dressing gown on afterwards.
Exfoliate While In The Shower
Exfoliating your skin is necessary because our skin is repairing itself constantly. With that being said, you want to ensure that you’re giving it a helping hand every now and then. Exfoliating in the shower is a way of getting it done and dusted without much fuss needed. Take your scrub and a bit of shower foam, mixing it into your skin and giving it a real good scrub. Your skin will thank you afterwards, and it can be great if you’re trying to remove that patchy fake tan or dry skin from your summer holidays.
Use A Day And Night Cream For Protection
A day and night cream is something you can throw onto your skin while you’re in bed and first thing when you go into the bathroom. They can end up being two very effective products that help provide moisture to the skin and if the day cream has an SPF in it, then even better! If you’re someone who doesn’t like using too many lotions and potions or doesn’t have the time, then these two products are all you really need in order to get the job done.
Fuss-Free skincare can exist, and it doesn’t require a lot of time or effort. A bit of self-care can go a long way, so do what you can to make sure your skin and your body get a bit of love and attention it deserves.
