3 Reasons Why Organising Your Home Shouldn’t Be A Chore.

Most people probably don’t get a whole lot of joy from the idea of doing some spring cleaning, and really organising their homes. Well, Marie Kondo claims that she’s always found the experience of tidying up to be really uplifting, positive, and fun, but that’s another story.

For the vast majority of people, organising and tidying up the home is more of a chore than anything else, and not necessarily the kind of chore that seems very rewarding and promising, either.

And yet, many people have a lot of good things to say about the art of tidying up, and the ways in which it can help to put their lives on a better track, and open up reserves of energy they didn’t know they had.

So, here are a few reasons why organising your home is more than just a chore, and why taking the trouble to do it may be well worth your while.

Because your home environment directly influences how you feel and live your life

Your home environment directly influences how you feel, and how you feel directly influences how you live your life.

If you doubt this, consider whether you’d feel more upbeat, energetic, and enthusiastic, if you lived in a home that was well illuminated with cutting-edge lights from lumenalights.com/shop/, or whether you’d feel better if your home looked like a mediaeval dungeon, with lighting so dim and melancholy that reading the label on a can of baked beans was practically impossible.

As human beings, our environments always have a lot to do with our moods and perceptions of things. So, by tidying up and organising your home, you may be completely altering your energy levels for the better.

We all fall into ruts in life from time to time. When circumstances seem pretty dire and unappealing, and there is no clear path forward in sight, the best thing to do is often the first manageable thing that seems like it would make things better.

If your home is a mess, tidying and organising it may well be the best place to aim your efforts if you want to improve your life as a whole.

This isn’t just because a more organised home environment will make you feel better. It’s also because doing something – anything – positive can start a positive domino effect, that leads to dramatic improvements across the board.

Because it’s one avenue for you to explore your creativity through

Everyone needs certain creative outlets in their life, and some people need those creative outlets a lot more than others, just in order to feel healthy, balanced, and happy.

Tidying and organising your home is just one avenue for exploring your creativity. It allows you to get rid of the things that don’t resonate with you, and to add more of the things that do.

If you take the task of home tidying seriously enough, you can turn your entire home into something like a personal creative art project.

We collect so much throughout the years and it’s so easy for everything to get so cluttered. I’m going through each room at a time and trying to get organised. I’m always happier when our home feels fresh.
