I have to admit, when it comes to sleeping, I much prefer to sleep without pyjamas on. My preferred sleeping ensemble is to wear underwear with my PJs next to my bed in case I need to get up for any reason during the night or I get cold. But chances are, my nightwear is relegated to daytime wear rather than the reason it was made for.
Surely I’m not alone in this despite people looking at me oddly when I mention I prefer to sleep sans clothing. But did you know it is also beneficial to your body and well being to sleep naked. True, this might not be possible all of the time, especially if you live with a big family or when you are sleeping away from home, but have you ever looked at how it could benefit your body to ditch the nightwear and sleep au naturale?
Snore Mentor have put together this infographic sharing 13 details why you consider sleeping naked and all the health benefits to be gained from sleeping this way. For example, sleeping naked helps to regulate your body temperature to aid you in getting a restful night sleep uninterrupted by fluctuating temperatures brought on by unsuitable clothing.
If you don’t feel comfortable sleeping without nightwear on, maybe you can consider changing what you sleep in to help you get a better night’s sleep whilst still feeling comfortable. Swapping to lightweight clothing made from bamboo, flannel or silk that are loose fitting and comfortable. They will keep you cool during the night and help keep your body free to do what it needs to do whilst you catch some much-needed shut-eye.
