I’ve been a little bit quiet recently on here and social media. I’ve neglected it a bit recently and honestly, I’m not sorry.
Being a single parent, working part-time and fitting in the blog can be a bit of a juggling act. And anyone who knows me knows I have zero coordination and those balls spend more time on the floor with me scrambling around trying to find them than being tossed effortlessly through the air and being caught.
So I decided to take a step back and live my life. Not to worry about my online presence and rather be more present in real life. It’s so easy to get lost in the online world and let it take over a little. I decided it wasn’t for me. Especially with my health not being so great this year.
Trying to Ease Aches and Pains.
From coughs and cold to aches and pains. Especially back pain that was keeping me awake at night. The pain got so bad I eventually took myself up to the GP. Turns out there was, and is, a lot more going on than me putting it down to just being overweight – which obviously isn’t helping matters at all.
I had blood tests, physiotherapy and eventually an MRI for which I have just received the results for. Hot on the heels of an increase in back pain and the return of my nighttime pain for which no one has yet found the answer to. This also caused me to have to press pause on the workout programme I was taking part in. Due mainly to the fact that even simple walking was causing me severe pain. We have customers in work more than twice my age in much better health. I feel 95 never mind 35!
The MRI revealed I have worn discs in my spine. Plural as in more than 1, that are pressing on my nerves. This is what is causing the pins and needles I have been experiencing recently. So now I am booked in for a follow up with the GP to see where we go from here.
So, it goes without saying that I have spent a lot more time in bed recently. I know I do anyway, lazy much! But after being at work all day and doing the basics at home for Olivia, the back pain is really taking its toll. Top that with a fitful and restless sleep, I’ve been left feeling more than a tad sorry for myself. And full of various aches and pains too.
Getting A Good Nights Rest.
I would love to be able to find a solution to getting more rest when suffering from back and joint pain. One way to help ease aches and pains associated with problems like mine and much more is to invest in an electric adjustable bed. Adjustamatic has come with this video to help discover the best positions to sleep in to relieve the pressure on certain parts of the body.
It goes without saying that a goods night sleep does wonders for our body and mind. But when this eludes you due to pain, things can feel magnified as our body isn’t getting the rest it needs to help heal and recover. So don’t just wait, head over to find out how you can help improve your sleeping habits and maybe get a good restful nights sleep. I know I will be taking on board any tips to ease aches and pains and help me sleep better now I know about them.
