So we’ve all been told by our parents to make sure to eat our carrots as they help us see in the dark, haven’t we? (Please say yes and tell me it’s not just my mum and then myself who reeled off this line?) But did you know there is a whole range of Superfoods for your eyes?
Me neither. I do suffer quite a lot with my eyes. A recent holiday to Gran Canaria proved just how sensitive when the sun and various sun creams left me with sore and burning eyes that I could barely open.
In recent years my optician has found marks on the back of my eyeball. They seem to suggest there is some sort of damage. They look to have been there for a long time but were only discovered around 3 years ago.
Also thanks to an imperfection in the jelly at the back of my eye I permanently have what looks like ‘floaters’ in my vision. Usually only noticeable first thing in the morning or in bright light. Nothing too serious so far. But still, you want your eyes to be in the best possible health they can be, don’t you?
This coupled with Olivia’s eyes. With her having almost no sight in her left eye unless she has her glasses on and perfect vision in her right eye. It’s safe to say eye health is a big thing in our house.
