Subscription Boxes? What do you think?
Yes, no? Not sure? Personally I love the idea of having a little box of goodies land on my door mat each month. The surprise of not knowing what you are going to get it’s like a mini birthday every month isn’t it! So I was having a little think you know. It’s coming up to that time of the year where I have a mini meltdown. Where I cuss and proclaim ‘It can’t be happening it must be a mistake’ then some ‘Why god, Why me’ and then the denial. If I refuse to accept it it can’t be happening can it?
But alas it does. Every year. Bang on schedule. Yep, you guessed it it is birthday time. Again. This will unfortunately be the 35th regular occurrence of the soul destroying event (dramatic much) and I’m not sure anything will ease the pain this year.
Well maybe cake. And some wine. Also a bit of chocolate, some presents perhaps. Who doesn’t like getting presents though seriously. I definitely do. Which brings me back to subscriptions boxes, well duh! I have always wanted someone to get me a subscription box of some sort, like I did at Christmas for my youngest sister. But they haven’t. I may buy one for myself off Olivia for my birthday this year 😉
There are literally hundreds to choose from aren’t there! Have you looked at all the different ones you can get? I mean seriously there is even a box to help ease the pain of periods! So I thought I would do me a little Subscription Box Wishlist of some of the more unique ideas as opposed to your regular run of the mill beauty ones.
Grace and Bloom.
Grace and Bloom is a subscription box that puts a twist on your your classic bunch of flowers gift. With all flowers sourced locally, cut to a sensible length, and arranged simply in a box ready for you to display as you wish. Grace and Bloom aim to post your flowers the day they are sourced to help get you the freshest flowers possible for you to enjoy for longer.
Available in a one off box from £24.99 to a 6 month subscription for £104.99 making each bunch just £17.49. I would love to have these turn up through my door every month as opposed to the our usual £3 bunch from Asda.
Sterling Silver Stacking Ring Subscription.
Over on Not on The High Street is a subscription box I have never seen before but I really like the sound of. At £90 for a 3 month subscription this is for serious jewellery lovers but I do love pretty jewellery. A throwback from my time working for Ernest Jones! Each month you will get either 3 or 5 rings (making each ring either £10 or £6 doesn’t seem quite so expensive now does it!) All handmade and designed to be able to mix them up to wear together or separately this is a lovely way to make the gift of jewellery keep on giving.
How cute are these please! Just what I need to pretty my fingers up a little lol!
Wild Inspiration Boxes
If I go out, I like to be prepared. Like pack everything but the kitchen sink prepared, know what I mean. Wild Inspiration Boxes are like that too. With a different theme each month and everything you need eg film box you get film, popcorn and more. They are available as Wild Monthly box containing 5-9 items depending on the theme or as an Absolute Quarterly box with 13-15. They also contain online content too.
I love the idea of a different theme each month so you get different items. A complete surprise every month or quarter depending on the box you choose. Monthly boxes are £24.95 or £68.85 every 3 months and Quarterly boxes are £60 or £114 every 6 months. It may seem expensive but if you get say 9 items for £24.95 it’s less than £3 per item.
A monthly box full of stationary that just drops through your letterbox. COUNT.ME.IN. These days I lose a lot of my stationary to Olivia but this box would be perfect for the both of us. With prices from £16 for a 6 month subscription, £17 for 3 months and £18 for a monthly box. Packed with stationary and crafty goodies based around a theme. I would boxcited (geeddit) to get this each month!
So this is my little subscription box wishlist for a certain upcoming July event. I wonder if my countless hints have been heard or if my letterbox will still be boxless and boring?
Do you have a subscription box? What would be your ideal box to receive each month?
*I have not been asked to write this post I just really like subscription boxes. PR samples have since been received after this post went live*
