Thursday July 14th 2016. My 35th birthday and the day of the best event in the school calendar. Yep, you guessed it. School Disco Day.
Olivia had been really worried she would have to miss as she had been off ill for the past 8 days (you can read about it here). But luckily she was able to go back to school on the Tuesday and was in perfect health for the dance. With her swelling now pretty much gone she is able to fit back into her old clothes no problem, hence our lack of recent #weekendtotstyle posts.
Once this problem was solved, it was time to face the next one. What on earth was she going to wear! This is never an easy decision, never. I picked, she said no. She picked, I said no. And so we continued until I agreed she could wear one of her holiday outfits. This outfit ↓
I got this Matalan playsuit from a discount clothing store for £4 in age 12-13 and the sandals are a hand me down from my niece in a size 4. I am still disturbed by this fact. How is my 10-year-old daughter just one shoe size behind me?
I also got my sister to do her hair. As I am rubbish at doing hair she popped it into a quick mini braid as a compromise to Olivia just wanting it all down looking a mess.
With another school year pretty much wrapped up and this outfit being put away ready for our holiday for a future post or 3 for our week away in August.
What have your kids been wearing this month?
