How Artificial Intelligence Is Changing Our Lives

What exactly do you know about artificial intelligence and machine learning? It all sounds very sci-fi, doesn’t it! For my house, I am most definitely a fan of automation, I have a robot vac on my wishlist, and the thought of being able to turn the kettle on for a coffee before I get out of bed sounds amazing!

But fun stuff aside, artificial intelligence (AI) in business drastically changes the landscape and allows companies to do more than ever before. While nothing can fully replace the human touch, advances in AI allows for greater machine learning capabilities. This means for the consumer, there is a more accurate service and fewer mistakes.

I use a few automated software services for blogging and my content writing career. It allows me to reduce the time I spend on specific tasks and make sure I can be as efficient as possible.

But when it comes to business and manufacturing, this is still essential as a consumer. Why? It is all about customer service. After all, the more a company can meet demands, the better right? Who doesn’t appreciate that in their life?

What Is Artificial Intelligence?

Artificial intelligence (AI) can relieve humans of various repetitive tasks. Using computer science programming, artificial intelligence can mimic human thought and action by analysing data and surroundings, solving or anticipating problems, learning or self-teaching, and adapting to a wide range of tasks. A human programmer can teach the technology to learn a task once and then repeat it as many times as needed. Artificial intelligence allows machines to learn from their experiences, adapt to new inputs, and perform human-like tasks. Applications range from chess-playing computers to self-driving cars, all of which rely heavily on deep learning and natural language processing to function correctly.

The primary goal of Artificial Intelligence, also known as the stimulation of cognitive behaviour, is to enable computers to perform intellectual tasks such as decision-making, problem-solving, perception, understanding human communication in any language, and translating between different languages.

Machine Learning and Customer Service

When you purchase a product, you want it to be fit for purpose. You want a product that is designed well, usable and looks good (depending on what it does). This is where machine learning and artificial intelligence systems come into play.

I find it fascinating that you can programme a machine to identify anything and everything and now when something isn’t right. There is no denying that this process can eliminate error on a greater scale, meaning and defective or sub-par components are eliminated via Optical Sorting Machines.

Nothing is more disappointing than purchasing a product and getting it home to find it is damaged. Not only is it harming a companies reputation but also its bottom line. Machines that can sort defective products or components before they reach the customer can only be a good thing if you ask me.

As consumers, we benefit from lower prices, more efficient service and a higher quality product at the end of the day.

How Do We Use Artificial Intelligence in Everyday Life?

Now more than ever, artificial intelligence and machine learning are here to stay, and over time, they can only get better and improve our quality of life. This type of automation has already been implemented in medical settings for many years, and our healthcare is better because of it. As are live chat options on websites where a chat assistant is programmed to answer basic queries and help you with issues.

From self-driving cars to your smart home devices, AI is becoming more and more commonplace in our lives. Self-driving cars are already a reality, not just as a concept in your favourite science fiction show anymore. And I am here for it. I cannot wait for the day when I can get up, and my robot assistant has taken care of all of my chores, put a coffee on and organised my day. Until then, I will keep on dreaming!
