Olivia’s Tuesday LookBook: Olivia’s Style
Welcome to our first post in Olivia’s new series Olivia’s Tuesday LookBook.
Olivia’s Tuesday LookBook is a new children’s style series for Olivia’s Corner. Anyone is welcome to join in and we would love to have you! If you would like to know more please head over to the Olivia’s Tuesday LookBook page for more information.
To kick things off is the girl herself. This is Olivia’s Style. Now aged 10 Olivia has grown into her own style and now takes pleasure in picking her own outfits and window shopping for new clothes. Tall for her age she is now not only the same size shoe as me but is loving the fact she can now wear size 6-8 clothes from her favourite hunting ground, Primark! Despite opening up the options when looking for new clothes it also marks the end of an era. Olivia is no longer a baby but a girl on the cusp of figuring out life and forging her own way in the world.
So lets have a look at how she has been dressing over the years before my total involvement in her outfit choices is reduced to just being financial!

Olivia’s Style: Fancy Dress.
A lover of dressing up from a very young age Olivia has always had a love for dresses. The bigger, the poofier, the twirlier the better. At 3 she could be found in an array of princess dresses which became her staple outfits of choice for the longest time.

Olivia’s Style: School Uniform.
As she got older she transferred this love to her school uniform and insisted on wearing only pinafore dresses for school summer dresses. This has only changed recently to skirts due to no one stocking school dresses in her size anymore.

Over the years Olivia has experimented, a lot, and pushed the boundaries of my purse strings to add more and more dresses to her collection. Come rain or shine if she can wear a dress she will. No style ignored and no opportunity missed to kick back and throw a dress on.

If you were to ask Olivia what her dream dress would be she would tell you it has to be sparkly. And flowy and spin up when she twirls round or a maxi dress. Maxi dresses have been a staple in her wardrobe for the past two summers and her love of dresses that reach her ankles isn’t showing any sign of waning just yet!

As you can see Olivia accessories of choice tend to be a good old hairband or a little shrug for her shoulders. Occasionally there are leggings if it’s a bit on the chilly side but chances are she will opt for the “I’m freezing cold and have goosebumps” look!
So there we have it. Olivia’s go to style and her extensive collection of dresses! I would love for you to pop back next week for the first guest post in this series, hopefully the first of many!

Wow what a pretty girl.girl looks beautiful and stylish
Hello Tracey, these pictures are looking awesome. Really she is looking stunning in this costume. I love to watch my daughter in this outfit. Thanks for sharing.
What a great idea for a series! Im dreading that day that my little girl will no longer let me dress her *sob*. It seems to be so much younger these days. I look at my nieces and nephews often in disbelief at how quickly they are growing. At the same time its great to seem them develop their independence 🙂 Emily #KCACOLS
The girl has style 🙂 Great idea for a series #KCACOLS
Such a shame they don’t do school dresses in her size, they always look much nicer than skirts (and they can’t be rolled up!) love that she wants a skirt that goes up when she twirls – that was always my requirement too!! #kcacols
I love how she’s experimenting and finding her own style, but at the same time sort of sticking to the theme of dresses! My daughter is 2 and already loves dresses and skirts that she can twirl around in! x #KCACOLS
looks like she loves the camera and styling and the camera loves her too, she is beautiful. I have a 9 year old daughter and a 12 year old daughter, my son has just turned 7. #Kcacols
This is so lovely! She looks great. I love the Dorothy outfit! #KCACOLS
Olivia is so cool Tracey and such a natural in front of the camera. Great post:)

Aw I love all of Olivia’s dresses and how lovely she already has her own sense of style. This sounds like it is going to email a fab series xx #kcacols
Olivia has style!! I love dresses too. All of mine had to be packed away because they’re not BF friendly. Boo!
#KCACOLS
I can’t get over how much Olivia looks like you Tracey! She is the absolute double of you. Loving her style and can’t wait to see more in Olivia’s series 🙂 #KCACOLS

Great series! What an adorable little lady!! #KCACOLS
Love this! She looks like a little fashionista! 🙂 #KCACOLS
How lovely that she is developing her own sense of style – I like a girl who knows what she wants! Don’t worry, it won’t be too long until she can contribute to her outfit choices financially…only like another 8 years…or more!! #KCACOLS
awww she’s a little fashionista, love her dresses super adorable #KCACOLS
This is so precious, and it looks like Olivia is really growing into her very own style! This is such a great series! My son is only 18 months old, so I’ve not thought much about the days when I won’t have much say in his wardrobe. They grow so quickly! Thanks for sharing <3 #KCACOLS
She’s beautiful. Great sense of style and what a fantastic wardrobe she must have! Great blog feature x #KCACOLS
Just popping back for #KCACOLS I’m going to sort through some pics of the boys for our post soon. x

Aww, she looks wonderful. It is lovely to see her style develop and her become so confident in her style. Booey is the same now, the only input I get is when I pay at the till lol.
#KCACOLS
Oh bless her, she definitely knows herself! Love it when they start discovering who they are and expressing themselves!
#kcakols
awww gorgeous girl and love the dresses X #kcacols
Lovely young lady with terrific style! I’m sure she could give me a tip or two. 😉
#kcacols
She looks great and confident in her skin. thumbs up #kcacol
What a super stylist, I love the Dorothy and styling up the school uniform! Great one! #KCACOLS
What a brilliant idea – she looks fabulous in all her outfits. I seem to be spending quite a lot of time in Primark with my 11 year old too!! #KCACOLS
Ah Olivia has so many beautiful dresses! We would love to join in 🙂 #kcacols
Aww how fantastic, it’s lovely to see a young girl with such self-confidence, good for you for encouraging her! x #kcacols
Aw love that less dress, it’s so pretty! This is so cute and will be lovely for Olivia to look back on as she gets older. It must be strange when your child starts to have their own sense of style- I’ve got a few years of being the dresser ahead of me yet! x #KCACOLS
Wow, she has a more extensive wardrobe than me! Pen x #KCACOLS
I think Olivia loves fashion and Primark as much as my eldest, 13, does! In fact, she has those same white Primark sandals I’ve spotted in the last photo. They grow up so fast, don’t they? Too fast! #KCACOLS
My daughter loves dresses like her mama! So many cool looks here. Love the pretty witch! #KCACOLS
She is beautiful, I have a daughter who also loves dresses but she is a lot younger. I think this has given me a look at what I have to come #KCACOLS
She is beautiful and I have a daughter who is just as in love with dresses as yours she is a lot younger but I have now see what I have to come #KCACOLS
Love it, Olivia is beautiful. My little girl also is a big fan of dresses and dressing up in general. I love that she has chosen one of Olivia’s faves to feature in her look book with her maxi dress. Looking forward to joining in, thanks. #KCACOLS
Aww she’s beautiful! She has good taste in dresses too! X #KCACOLS
I love a dress, I used to love pinafores when I was younger too! #kcacols
I don’t blame her for her love of dresses, they look beautiful 🙂 #KCACOLS
She looks like she is having lots of fun, lovely dresses. #KCACOLS
aww lovely post and what a beautiful daughter 🙂 she is going to cost you even more haha in clothes and shoes! my son has zero interest in clothes and would happily spend the day in pjs! #KCACOLS
What a gorgeous girl – love her fancy dress options! Looking forward to seeing her style evolve!
#KCACOLS
She looks lovely, I cant wait to see what your future look book posts! 🙂 #kcacols
Such a cutie! Love that she has such a defined sense of style so early on. #KCACOLS
I’ve got all this to come with BB who’s only five – looks like you’re having fun! #KCACOLS
I’m loving her dress sense – and having some serious dress envy with that bottom collection! I love the fancy dress looks too. 😀 #KCACOLS
Ah they grow up so quickly, lovely outfits!
#KCACOLS
Oh wow you can see her love of style and the confidence those dresses in particular give her through the pictures alone. Such an amazing time transitioning into a young women, she looks so cute and fashionable. My little girl is only 21 months but I have to give her a choice of two outfits including bedtime every single day. She is already very aware of what she wants to wear. Loved reading this post on a miserable Sunday! #KCAKOLS
Lovely idea! Olivia will enjoy seeing her style recorded in years to come. She’s got a good eye for clothes (she should come and pick some out for me!) so she won’t even be embarrassed by how she used to dress like many of us are 🙂 #KCACOLS
What a nice idea for a series – I will enjoy a preview of being a mother to a 10 year old girl. To be honest, I think Stella (2) will do a much better job of choosing her own outfits than her dad does at the moment… Too many colours and patterns in one outfit for my liking!!! I am trying to educate him at the moment! x
#kcacols
She has got some serious style! I love that she wears a pinafore/skirt to school in the summer and doesn’t just conform to the ‘normal’. It’s still regulatory untiform so why not? I wish I was half as fashionable as her when I was younger.
#KCACOLS
Great idea for a series. I love how she has developed her own style already, can’t beat a good maxi dress and I remember being little and dying for a dress that would swirl out when I twirled x
#KCACOLS
What a cool lady! My two would live in dresses too, come rain or shine 🙂 #KCACOLS
What a cool fashionable young lady you have there. It’s great that she has such a clear individual style. This is one of the things I miss about the fact I’ll never be a mum of girls! #kcacols
What an exciting time and fun for you to look back on how grown up she is becoming too! Nice idea for a series! #KCACOLS
Love her costumes! (One of my daughters loved the year she dressed up as Dorothy.) 🙂 #KCACOLS
SO cute!! Love all the costumes! #KCACOLS
Aw that is so cute. My daughter and I wear dresses two days a week but if we can wear jeans or leggings we wll. #KCACOLS
Your girl looks beautiful and stylish. Loved the photos. #KCACOLS
Very similar to my 10 year old who also likes a good twirly dress or maxi dress! I love seeing my little girls develop their own sense of style! Gone are the days I can go shop for her without specific instruction. For birthdays it’s always vouchers now so she can choose her own! #KCACOLS
So many nice pics and her costumes look awesome! I hate dressing up, I feel totally ridiculous… #KCACOLS
Wow what a pretty girl. It definitely looks as if she’s finding her own style, I love these photos! #KCACOLs
How adorbs are you two! I love that you are embarking on this adventure together.
#KCACOLS
I used to love my pinafore dresses when I was little. My older son is 17 and my input to his clothing is purely financial and laundry service! #KCACOLS
Sounds like she’s really starting to find her own identity. How lovely! The last picture is so pretty but she has so many good looks! #KCACOLS
I love Olivia’s style & can’t wait to join in with her new Lookbook series! X #KCACOLS
She looks beautiful. I love all the different styles! She definitely has her own style! I also agree that this is a great idea for a series! I will try to prepare one for you too! Good luck! Thanks for helping co-host #KCACOLS this week! 🙂 xx
She look so pretty and sweet. Very nice outfit 🙂
