How to Drink More Water with Soda Stream
It’s a well-known fact that I am continuously striving to change my diet. I am the first to admit, it doesn’t always go to plan. But nevertheless, I still try. You have to don’t you! That being said I do always find it easier in the colder months to eat better. I get bored with salad in the hot weather and tend to overindulge in easy to make processed foods and snacks!
But come autumn winter, I haul out my trusty slow cooker and I can start making some healthier, easier to cook meals. Did I mention I am a rubbish cook? That along with my lack of desire to learn how to cook and the Fibromyalgia makes for a bad combination. But my slow cooker is my saving grace! It’s so easy to throw it all in an leave it to do its thing, isn’t it?
So, here I am back on the ‘healthier eating’ train and looking to make some better food and drink choices. Hence the mention of my slow cooker. One thing I need to start doing more is drinking water. When I am in work I am great at drinking water. At home though, not so much. It’s safe to say I regularly go for the fizzy drinks over water 90% of the time. It’s safe to say I need help when it comes to how to drink more water at home.
How to Drink More Water with Soda Stream at Home.

I cannot tell you how long I have wanted a Soda Stream for. I am pretty sure I was still in single digits, possibly just entering the double digits age. Every Christmas and birthday I wished and wished and every time, I was sorely disappointed. Slowly, I became resigned to the fact that me requesting and subsequently not getting a Soda Stream, was just going to be something I went through for the fun of it.
Until that is, I was kindly sent one for review for the blog. I think I cried when it arrived. I was so excited but still, I kept it in the box for over a week, terrified it was some dream and it would get taken back. But mostly, I didn’t want to be disappointed.
The Soda Stream Spirit Classic is available in 9 different colours and in an Electric One-Touch model too. My Soda Stream is black and I love it. I also love the slimline design and the fact it is portable so I can literally have it anywhere in my kitchen. I am making it a permanent home by my sink so I can top it up easily and stay away from other choices.
The Soda Stream Spirit Classic comes with a drinking bottle so once you have made your drink, you are ready to go, whether staying at home or taking it out for the day with you. Are you ready to find out how to drink more water at home?

- Press the button on the top for 2 seconds.
- The more you press, the more bubbles you get.
- Add your flavour.
- Enjoy!
It’s as easy as that.
I have to admit, I am not a fan of plain soda water at all. So for me, I enjoy it more adding some no added sugar juice. I do liven up my juice with lemonade instead of water so this was means I still get to enjoy the fizz but with water instead of lemonade. Being able to ‘fizz’ it up to my taste has been quite fun and whilst I can’t always see the bubbles afterwards, I can taste them for a long time without worrying my drink has gone flat before I can drink it all.
Does the Soda Stream Spirit Help Me to Drink More Water at Home?

In a nutshell yes it has been. Maybe for the novelty factor, but mostly because I love it and I am getting to drink more water and save money on not having to buy cans/bottles of fizzy drinks all the time. I have been using the usual squash drinks I normally buy although I will be getting some of the Soda Stream flavours to try out. I even have a tonic syrup for gin which needs soda water adding meaning it will be the perfect drink to try this out on when I next have a gin night with one of my besties!
