A rug can be many things. It is part of the décor, an aesthetic element of a room. It can also be something soft to lie on, almost like a blanket.  You will probably want to have all of these elements when you buy a rug for your child’s room, so below we will take you through some of the options that will help you to make a perfect choice.

First of all, you will want a rug that is washable, given the fact that your kids WILL make it dirty! Some fibres are more easily cleaned than others, such as wool and polypropylene, and some are more hardwearing. As well as this, we recommend that you get a rug that will not show up stains too much. Finally, and perhaps most importantly for your child, is the design of the rug. Your son or daughter may want a rug with their favourite cartoon character on it, or one that represents a scene from their favourite film or TV show. There are also now on the market rugs that can be used as a puzzle of games boards, which means that your child’s rug can actually become part of their play.
