How often do you change your pillows? How many pillows are too many to sleep on? Have you ever given it much thought? To be honest, whilst I know how often you need to change your mattress, I rarely give much thought to changing my pillows or even how long I have had them for. That was until recently.

Olivia has decided she needs ALL the pillows and has to sleep sitting virtually upright! When my niece stays over, she too needs ALL the pillows. Recently I have found myself left with one rather old and deflated pillow and a small square scatter cushion to sleep on. Unlike the girls, I don’t need all the pillows but I need something plumper than a flat pancake to sleep on.

How often do you need to replace your pillows?

Now, I don’t think I have had my pillows for 5 years yet but I know they definitely need replacing and I need more than my current flat and out of shape pillow or an item that was formally a pillow!

I do suffer from a lot of pain in my neck and with being overweight too, I do snore quite badly and I am a very fidgety sleeper too. I do prefer to sleep mostly on my side but truthfully, I don’t stay in the same position so tend to move around a lot! I would go as far as to say that my lack of decent support pillow wise, does possibly contribute to these issues.

I can’t tell you how excited I was to receive my very own pillow that isn’t suitable for Olivia (hopefully) but something I could keep all to myself. When I opened the box with pillow inside, I was shocked at how big and plump it looked. It has been a while since I have slept on a pillow this full. I was also curious as to how it would feel to sleep on with it being filled with recycled plastic materials.

Obviously, Olivia decided her head needed to test it first! In a true case of Goldilocks, Mumma bear’s pillow was too hard! I was so pleased but also worried. Could it simply be it was too hard for her head with it being made especially for me? I opted for a medium firm pillow and Olivia is all about the soft pillows. All of them.

So after a little photo shoot to show you all my fabulous new pillow, I decided I needed to try it out and opted for an early night (any excuse – not that I need one). Oh, wow! I mean seriously, my head sunk into it and I was sold. If it was this comfy while I was awake, surely I was in for a treat whilst I slept.

I swear this pillow is the comfiest pillow I have ever slept on. My reservations about it being too plump for me, all gone. Amazingly, the stiff neck of a morning, gone too. I still get my neck pain but not from sleeping. It also has had an effect on my shoulders too. They too are less tense.
