Gift Ideas for Teens

I can’t believe Olivia is 13 now! I officially have a teenager in the house. I don’t know about you but each year, I find it more and more difficult to think of things to buy her. As she gets older and her interests change we have moved away from the gifts of dolls and games pretty much now. So I thought I would put together a selection of gift ideas for teens that are a little bit different and fun. Because seriously, teens can be so hard to buy for.

Gift Ideas for Teens

Jewellery.

This year I wanted to get Olivia a piece of jewellery that would grow with her as she gets older. I decided to get her a Pandora charm bracelet. This way, each year she can add to the bracelet and have something she can treasure during her teenage years and hopefully beyond. I think a piece of jewellery like this makes a great present it is something they can keep and treasure for many years to come.

She already has Pandora rings so this will go lovely with them I think. I also got her a couple of charms to start her off.

Maybe you want something like this gorgeous necklace I reviewed from Inscripture last year? I loved it so much I bought my niece a bracelet from them for Christmas too!

Adopt an Animal

Olivia is obsessed with Llamas. So I thought this would be a great present for her. She already has so many llama branded items already that the next logical step was to adopt one for her. There are so many sites where you can purchase a one-year adoption for any animal of your choice.  (The image below is an Amazon affiliate link. Click the image to be taken to the site)

If you know a teen who has a favourite animal, this would make a great gift for them, especially if you live close enough to be able to pay them a visit during your adoption time.

Roller Skates.

Olivia has been asking for roller skates for a few years now. For her birthday she had been asking for Heelys or roller skates. Now she has a pair of these cute skates from Skates.co.uk, she will be joining me and my sister on our Sunday walks each week. Maybe you know a teen who needs a new hobby or loves to learn new things whilst having fun! Roller skates aren’t just for young kids anymore and pairs like the ones above make a great gift idea for teens.

Personalised Books

I know, I know, you think they are for younger children, but maybe they aren’t! Olivia is obsessed with Star Wars and this personalised book from In the Book is absolutely perfect for her and any Star Wars fan you might know! There are books and gifts available for all ages and I think they are a great idea. If you know a teen with a passion why not think about getting something a little bit more personal that they will love!

Clothing.

We have not long introduced Olivia to our local leisure centre gym. We have struggled over the years to find something she likes to do that isn’t sitting in front of her laptop. This is it. She asked for new gym clothes for her birthday and I love the idea of gifting people items they need and use. I love to get presents of things I already use so this is great for Olivia. These sports leggings from Love Leggings are absolutely perfect for her. They are a great fit and she said they are really comfy too.

We always try to gift the kid’s things like this for birthdays. In years past, they have, and still do, receive new gymnastics outfits as presents, especially if they are a little bit on the expensive side. Maybe you treat your teen to their own personal shopping trip so they can find clothes that are perfect for them.

Experiences

I love giving experience gifts for presents and it is no different for kids. Why not gift your teen with a day out or once in a lifetime trip to do something they really love. How about a Young Drivers Course like Olivia will be trying out from BuyaGift. It gives them a little taste of driving before the time comes when they can legally learn to drive!

There are so many things to choose from to give them a fun and unique gift that they will love and remember for many years to come. They are brilliant gift ideas for teens.

Food and Drink Gifts.

I’m not talking about the standard bag of chocolate. Custom Gifts personalise big brand like Toblerone and Dairy Milk to make that gift extra special.  How about something more grown up like speciality popcorn or something like Popaball drinks glitters to add you their drinks. This is great for parties and sleepovers. Something different and fun and not something you would pick up in your weekly shop.

It used to be so easy when you could just buy dolls and toys. I always struggle with my teen. I wanted to get her a Pandora charm bracelet too but she’s not into jewellery. Hmmf. My tween wants one on her 13th birthday though.
Great ideas. My girls love the Popaball glitters. They are such fun and make drinks a little more special x
