Olivia’s Favourite Shows

olivias favourite tv shows
*This is a collaborative post*

As in I am collaborating with Olivia. On a subject very dear to our hearts. It brings us joy, drama, is the cause of many, many disputes and tearful phone calls to nan’s, dad, aunties and cousin! From both her and me! We laugh,  we  she cries, there are debates and full on arguments. In fact writing this post is causing an argument right now!

The cause of so much drama you ask………………..The Disney Channel!

Indeed it is. You see, I am resigned to my fate that for the next few years at least, The Disney Channel is going to be a permanent feature on the telly box, as it has been for the past few years, and the premature loss of buttons 6,0,and 9 on the sky remote. You thought cBeebies, was bad with the ever so slightly (read big time) annoying characters and presenters, I’m looking at you Mr Tumble, then you will be totally unprepared for this. The onslaught of show, after show, after show of nauseatingly sweet honest to god goodness and heartfelt messages in every episode of some the cheesiest programmes ever made and also the most annoyingly addictive too. You will have no choice but to surrender to tween filled dramas taking over every inch of your TV screen. Don’t even get me started on the films. we still watch High School Musical now even though it was released before Olivia was even born!!!!!

On this note I will pass over the girl herself…………….Olivia!

olivias favourite tv shows“Hi, everyone. I love watching the Disney Channel and I always make my mum watch it too. She loves it really even though she says she doesn’t, she knows all the words and all the characters too like me! I know she has her favourite shows too just like I do! I know my mum has told you her favourite shows before, so I thought I would tell you my favourites and her real favourite ones hehe! Are you ready?”

Liv and Maddie. Liv and Maddie is a show about twin sisters called Liv and Maddie (mum: obvs!) Liv is an actress and a singer and Maddie is a tomboy who loves basketball. I’m more like Liv because I love to sing and dance (read drama queen!) but I like basketball like Maddie even though I can’t play it! I love watching it because it is fun and makes me laugh. Me and mum even sing along to the theme tune too! (yep I know all the words too, I even tell her when we have already seen an episode and how recently/how many times. But apparently I am always wrong) Yes mum you are!

Sonny with a Chance. This a tv show about a tv show. It follows a group of teenagers on a show called So Random. Sonny joins So Random and it looks like they have so much fun, messing about and making up things to put on their tv show every week. Demi Lovato is Sonny and I love her. (not so much of a fan of this one, especially as these are now just repeats as it officially ended a good few years ago)

Disney Descendants. I love, love, love this film. It is about the kids of all the Disney villains who get invited to study with the good kids of Disney characters in Auradon prep. My favourite character is Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen. I love singing and dancing along and trying to get mum to dance with me (not happening kiddo) she does really! (nope) *disagreement edited so as not to bore you all/embarrass me anymore than necessary!* The songs are fun and catchy (ridiculously so) *cue Olivia bursting out into song* (enjoy the cheesiness all and yep I do know the words and I’m singing along right now!)

Teen Beach Movie 2. Teen Beach Movie 2 is amazing! I love it and mum hates it she prefers Teen Beach 1! (the originals are always the best, always) Mack and Brady are trapped in a film from 1962 a really long time ago, and Brady loves it but Mack just wants to go home. In Teen Beach Movie 2 the stars of Wet Side Story, Laila and Tanner end up in Mack and Brady’s world and it’s so funny watching them trying to fit in, in school. I love dancing to the song at the end, That’s how we do, I even make mum try it too (I can’t it’s too fast for me and I have two left feet!)

These are some of my favourites and my mums (erm…………) but some of my other favourite shows are Jessie, Good Luck Charlie, Girl meets World (fyi this is a spin off from Boy meets World, I loved this show when I was younger and will gladly suffer this as the parents are Corey and Topanga Anyone else love this too? And my all time favourite character Shawn! ). I like watching Violetta (hate this with a passion, this causes me to have a temper tantrum!), Mako Mermaids (hate even more than the dreaded Violetta), Austin and Ally to name a few (err how many do you think a few is?)

I hope you all enjoyed reading about mine and mum’s (your Olivia, yours) favourite shows. Lots of love, Olivia xx

What shows do your kids have you watching?

  1. We watched ‘Descendants’ when there was nothing else on and it’s become a proper guilty pleasure, so cheesy but entertaining (and who can resist Kristen Chenoweth as Maleficent? Total musical theatre geek here!). Great picks Olivia! #KCACOLS

  2. I really enjoyed reading this!! Olivia you have a great taste!! I like all the shows that you have mentioned. I have a 13 year old niece so I understand the obsession with Disney Channel. I love this channel. I used to watch it a lot when I was in Peru as their shows are super fun. I don’t watch it now as my little ones are too young still. They are all about cbeebies at the moment or YouTube. Sienna is obsessed with Peppa Pig. She demands to watch it every day all day long. Thanks God for Amazon Prime Video so I can put a marathon of PP all day and she will be very happy lol. Thanks so much for sharing this at #KCACOLS, 🙂 x

    1. It is permanently on here! I am just gutted we missed the Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place era, I loved those shows!

  3. I loved this post! I bet you love watching them really!
Just as I thought we’d passed the cartoon phase, we now how have reruns of The Simpsons and Futurama on almost daily. My son is obsessed!

  4. I have this all to come! Although my boys don’t watch CBeebies as much these days and are more into watching Nick Jr or random shows on Netflix! (There is just too much choice!)

It’s nice that you watch these shows together though and it sounds like you enjoy watching them really

Thank you for linking up to #KCACOLS I hope to see you back again on Saturday 27th when the linky is open again. X

  5. Loved reading this – I think Olivia knows you’re just in denial about loving them all. 😉 I laugh, but I still have it all to come. Right now we’re watching Rainbow DVDs on repeat all day, every day, so even when I’m not watching them I’m singing the songs to myself… x #KCACOLS
