Word of the Week: Running

This week, well last week, I decided that as I still can’t go swimming or to the gym I wanted to take up running! Not quite too sure what I was thinking if I am completely honest as I can’t run! I am useless on the treadmill and prefer the cross trainer but I went ahead anyway.
Monday 30 minutes
Tuesday 25 minutes
Wednesday 25 minutes
Thursday 4 hours shopping trip (shopping still counts right?)

As I can’t run far or fast I was alternating between running, walking and jogging this way I am incorporating HIIT to burn fat and speed up metabolism for longer. Personally i prefer and actually have been this week running as soon as I get up before I have eaten to increase benefits.

I have felt so much better this week for it too, I have missed exercising I really have and I think I might actually enjoy running, now I have got some fab accessories and a cute pair of new suitable trainers I am all set.

My running buddies

Olivia has been really supportive of this too and is loving getting on her scooter and joining me on my runs, win win for both of us. My niece Ellie also joined us on Wednesday too they loved it racing me on their scooters round the park.

So this week I am choosing the word Running as this is how I have spent my week, running for exercise, running for the bus (at least twice this week) and running around work too.

Great word! I need to do this, I know. I ran before the kids, but haven't gone back to it since. One day…! Thanks for sharing with #WotW
