It has been quite a busy old week for us this week. Despite being ever so skint (what’s new!) we have actually managed to do quite a bit really.
Olivia started the week off at her dad’s. Having been away with my mum to Pontin’s, you can read about it on her blog he obviously wanted to see her so he had some time with her to give me yet another break! I was starting to get a bit bored by this point, but not bored enough to do the housework, yet!
They went to the Red Hot Buffet in Liverpool One and she absolutely loved it. I have only taken her a few times as she can be a pain when it comes to trying new foods, or new anything really but I am glad she liked it ‘coz I love it in there.
It was also good timing as the strain of doing absolutely nothing all week had made me ill, I swear it was the thought of doing housework that made me ill god’s honest truth. So I got to stay in bed pretty much all day until she came home on Wednesday.
That was also the day I got the phone call to say I had gotten the job promotion, so to celebrate we made a rather dodgy looking chocolate cake tasted amazing though trust me 🙂
Thursday was supposed to be picnic day but mother nature had other ideas and sent the rain to put a stop to that idea, so we decided to gate crash my sisters for an afternoon of baking/crafty fun. No actual crafts were done but we made enough cakes to supply a school fair and then ate them! The girls ended up outside playing whilst I was forced to dance with my 16 month old niece! Bossy lil madam she is.
Friday was Frozen day. We paid to go back to the cinema to watch the sing-a-long version. Bloody love that film and so do the girls. It was so cute listening to all the kids belting out the songs with actions. You try not doing the actions when you sing ‘Let it Go’ it’s not that easy.
We headed into Burger King for dinner, and visited Build a Bear to get Olivia’s Treasure Palace Pet fixed. The lovely staff explained that as it had been stitched the warranty was voided but they were kind enough to replace her with Rapunzel’s Summer Palace Pet as they weren’t stocking Treasure any more, she belongs to Ariel if you didn’t know! They also repaired Treasure and gave us her back! How amazing was that, thank you Build a Bear we really appreciated it, excellent customer service.
On Saturday we headed over to Knowsley for my works family fun day. A whole day of free food, free drinks, free activities, free rides, free everything! As much as you want (except alcohol obvs!) for the duration of the day, we had an excellent time we really did. The weather was a bit windy and cool but it didn’t rain so that was a plus.
I loved the Top Gear Simulator. Going round the track with The Stig in a Bugatti Veyron bring it on! Twice we went on the kids loved it, like being in Granddads car they said, ha they weren’t wrong!
Today we had a ‘Mummy and Livy’ day. We had crafts out and Disney on but she got bored of me and ended up in her room. She even broke her ‘no laptop’ rule with us playing on Disney’s Superbia before I headed out to the garden to mow the grass and sort the weeds out!
All in all it has been quite a fun and busy week, what have you been up to we would love to know.
